E-minor7
Something tells me the person behind this solution didn't know better. Not sure though - not my picture. But apart from the weirdness from our point of view, it's a pretty obvious way to get it wrong, isn't it. Will pin material play a role here ~ And has anyone ever seen or tried it ? sparquelito
I have said it a million times if I have said it once; If it feels right, plays good, and stays in tune, then it's a great guitar. That said, we are bearing witness to a truly unusual set-up.
jedzep
Funny as hell. I've heard of people getting home by replacing a broken fan belt with a piece of rope. This is close.

OldCowboy
Can't say I've ever done it, but I've seen it more than once when I was a kid. The old timers a few generations back seemed to have a way to rig nearly anything.

BigKahune
. Terrible DIY idea. . . Man, a couple of those pin holes are really stretched oval. But if you don't really care how much more damage can occur . . . . .
Jesse_Dylan
is that Willie Nelsons Trigger 20 years ago ? You beat me to it! What gets me is that the treble strings are held in conventionally.
MissouriPicker
I guess if it works, it works. But, I'd still worry about the stress on heads of a couple of those pins.
jedzep
It might be a pic of a piece of junk sitting in the corner of a 13 year old kids room, in which case it would hardly matter how the strings are attached. I'd love to see the full view.
Jesse_Dylan
My best childhood friend had a piece of junk in their trailer for years, and he would bang on it with a penny. One day, after I knew a thing or two about guitars, I asked him what it was. IT WAS A GIBSON. LG-0. I liberated that "junk" but unfortunately sold it. :( Hopefully whomever owns it now gave it the TLC it deserved.
E-minor7
You beat me to it! What gets me is that the treble strings are held in conventionally. The 3 eyeless gut-strings are probably tied to a nut or a piece of wood, fx 2 half matchsticks, down between the b-plate and pins. I'd like to A/B this (silly) concept. ;-)
