jaxson50
This awesome group of talented musicians have always flown under the radar of mainstream pop music, unlike Pink Floyd , but IMO Camel was as good as any of the 60s and 70s bands that explored far edges of mindbending music.

Sgt. Pepper
Moon Madness is a great album. Mirage, Rain Dances, I Can See My House From Here, and Snow Goose all pretty solid. Nude was a strange one. Edited September 24, 2020 by Sgt. Pepper

They remind me of a cross between 'Floyd and Atlanta Rhythm Section, plus some other stuff. Yeah, plus they could learn how to trim the excess wire from the tuning keys, Lol. Andy56
Excellent band, a bit underrated regarding other groups. IMO Andy Latimer is like David Guilmour but with humbuckers 😁😁. Cheers Andy

Agreed, they have an almost global cult following which is quite an accomplishment considering they never had a hit single on am or fm radio, and they did this before YouTube and the internet, They are very popular in Japan for example. Pinch
I always liked their band name. "How about we call ourselves Camel." "Err... Why?" "Why not?" "Good point. Okay, Camel it is." (The above alleged historical reenactment brought to you by Asparagus Rex Entertainment.)

jaxson50
Back in the day (pre 1975) for me it would have been Pall Malls , or Lucky Strikes I hated filtered cigs.
