SteveFord
http://legacy.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2019/USA/Les-Paul-Traditional-2019.aspx According to the above, it comes with a pickguard (not mounted) so somebody mounted it on there. Which was the right thing to do IMHO.

mrichard27
Yeah, lets cover that beautiful wood with a pickguard that does absolutely nothing, and will most likely mess-up the finish underneath where the screw and bolt go in the bracket..... Awesome.
SteveFord
Can't exactly fill the holes and make it undetectable but I'd prefer pick guard on due to my playing style. To each their own.

SteveFord
They really should have kept that snap-in pickguard feature, that was a really clever idea but nope!

jdgm
That was in 2015. It looked like a good idea but the lugs can break if you're not careful. You can still get replacements on ebay - https://www.ebay.com/itm/384004086834
SteveFord
I think you'd need the pick up rings, too. Those little lugs look like they'd break if you looked at them wrong, that's probably why they dropped it.

I removed mine when I bought it and put it in a drawer with all the other unwanted accessories (like whammy bars). Its a good idea and I like not having that hole in the body. In 2015, someone on here was ranting that he couldn't get past the holes in the pickup rings. Maybe he was playing his upside down.
