I think this is my most favorite Eagles Period.  Yeah, that’s awesome! If anyone has the live performance  of “Out Of Control” which I think is from that same Concert will you please post it? Thanks..

Here’s “Outlaw Man” from the same Concert..

I’d like to get the DVD of that whole Concert if anyone knows a Source… Thanks

To me it's the ONLY period of Eagles.

No Randy, no Bernie, no Glen, no Eagles. Felder was okay, too....

I'm a little Steely Dan obsessed.   They were probably playing Reelin In The Years plenty in 1973 but it's from a 1972 album.  In 1973, they released "Countdown to Ecstasy" ...

Reelin' In the Years" (sometimes "Reeling In the Years") is a song by jazz rock band Steely Dan, released as the second single from their 1972 album, ...
Released: March 1973

Recorded: August 1972

Studio: The Village Recorder, Santa Monica, California

Genre: Jazz rock
it was revorded in 72,  but wasn't released as a single until 1973, when it THEN  became a hit.

And let's not overlook...

Later that year we(buddies and all....) went to Cobo Arena to see Zappa, who was opened by The Mahavishnu Orchestra.   And in that show he introduced some material from THIS---

Which wasn't released until March '74.

Great show.

And let's not forget.....

Mclaughlin is 80 now; I saw him in London at the end of May.

I have a 2CD of the tour these 2 did Chicago Broadcast 1973. Both CDs are 80 minutes of solid mega-widdling; even I find it unlistenable.

John's coming 'round these parts soon.  In Ann Arbor I believe.  I won't  be able to make it.  ☹️

Although YES didn't break up at the time, Rick Wakeman did this "side job" in '73;

Apparently Rick was the original photo-bomb. I have that on vinyl. Probably Rick's best solo album, but like other groups the whole is greater than the individual parts. Most of the solo albums the guys did from Yes were half baked.

I volunteered/joined the USAF on a 4 month delayed enlistment program to avoid being drafted into the Army. One month after my sign up, the draft was abolished.
