IanHenry
Can anyone recommend any good quality, reasonably priced gig bags for Les Paul's I'm getting a little fed up with lugging a Les Paul, Amp and associated paraphernalia to band practice. SteveFord
This golf bag thing is okay. I still think it was cheap of them to provide this instead of a hard shell case with an SG Standard. https://www.gibson.com/en-US/Product/ASSFCASE-BRN/ASSFCASE-BRN
IanHenry
That looks quite good. I think in many respects a gigbag is better than a hard case.

ksdaddy
The last guitar I had shipped to me was in a gig bag. UPS smashed the top. Never another gig bag in this house. Not one.
kidblast
Mono gig bags are top notch, one of my buds has one for his Rick 4001, In fact think it will carry two (bass guitars in his situation) but better brace yourself when you see the price tag tho. Gator has some ones that look pretty solid too. Edited November 22, 2023 by kidblast
sparquelito
Anderton's has quite a few (very sturdy) Mono padded, structured gig bags ranging from 150 to 300 quid. https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-dept/electric-guitar-accessories/cases-bags-for-electric-guitars/gig-bags-for-electric-guitars Thoman does even better. They have the Gibson premium soft case for 136 quid. https://www.thomannmusic.com/gibson_premium_soft_case_black.htm I have the Gibson one. It's really, really nice, and sturdy. 🙂
jdgm
I've got at least 4 of the damn things plotting against me in the cupboard under the stairs. One of them is even black and white checkered like Rick Cheap Trick. Mostly they are handier than a hard case but.....
Notes_Norton
Nothing but flight cases for me. IMO the gig bag offers hardly any protection for the guitar. A lightweight, plastic, SKB ore equivalent flight case can save your guitar. Insights and incites by Notes ♫
