GibsonByBirth
Tom Petty - Runnin' Down A Dream Aerosmith - Dude (looks like a lady) jethro tull -- locomotive breath Humble Pie - 30 Days In The Hole These are songs that if are heard while driving, you speed up. Probably closest to revearse order. Chose any that you've never heard before. You will enjoy.
NeoConMan
Petty. Mike Campbell is a criminally under rated guitarist. For Aerosmith to move me, you gotta go back to the 1970's when they ROCKED. Humble Pie was good stuff too.

GibsonByBirth
I am obviously from a different generation after seeing this... That's what this ones about; informing the younger ones about what we rocked on but that they maybe never heard much of. Did you click on those you haven't heard often and did you speed your driving? NeoConMan
Shoulda mentioned it before. For Petty, get Damn The Torpedoes and Hard Promises. Best two albums to start out with. Nothing Petty did really rocked after that. Any AC/DC with Bon Scott, my two faves are Powerage and Highway to Hell but they're all good. High Voltage and Dirty Deeds are winners too... ksdaddy
Fall of '79, a baby blue '66 Buick Special 4 door with a 310 Wildcat, the Automatic Radio 8 track blaring "Candy-O". Summer of '80, a white and primer '67 Impala fastback with a too-loud 283, the same Automatic Radio 8 track blaring "Train Train". And yes I drove both of them too fast as a result. I still have that cursed 8 track player here somewhere, the same one my brother bought new in '68.

NeoConMan
"Train Train" Blackfoot! Ah yes, Slow Ride by Foghat was another one - the live version. Molly Hatchet's Flirtin' With Disaster. Anything with too many guitars and some cool slide work made all the long hair stand up on the back of my neck. Candy-O was cool, because of the deep, clean, hard bass it was recorded with. My car stereo would handle it, it made all my friend's stereos pop and fart embarrassingly. It was one of my 'show-off' cassettes but not what I wanted to hear when drinking ice-cold beer at 100 mph in the dark of night.

Well this made me think of my latest thread, because I don't think I ever heard this song while driving, but heard it a million times at wedding receptions. Not saying it's a bad song, just never had my car stereo on a station that playeds it I guess

Izzy
Steven Tyler always brings his best. Here is my generation's Steven Tyler Interesting comparison. Mick and Steve both put on a good show, sexy skinny men jumping about in tight clothes, but Steve screams his arse off. Mick is an institution, an ICON. Jagger is Legend. MAN do I love the Stones.... Start Me Up is enough to get any one's foot tapping.
TommyK
Not sure the name of the tune or the singers but here's some lyrics. Oooo, I'm drvin' my life away, looking for a sunny day for me and you. I had a car that when it got to the "Windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo Keepin' perfect rythm with the song on the radio-o...." part, my wipers were in perfect time. "Eight Days on the Road and I'm a Gonna Make it Home Tonight" Got a bass line that demands highest volume. "Hot Rod Lincoln" I can smell the hot exhaust manifold.
