FirstMeasure
I hope you post a pic or two of it, after you decide.
RichCI
You've obviously never owned a black guitar with a nitro finish. You'll only do it once. why neo? Black looks great - when the guitar is immaculately clean. The problem is that it shows every fingerprint, drip of sweat and bit of dust. If you've ever owned a black car or worn a black shirt to a go go bar, you know what I mean. I love black, but it's a lot of maintenance. In the case of yoda's Gretsch though, orange is totally badass. "Some day," I want to get one too.
Hector Arcadius
I will join the majority. Orange looks *****in' on Gretsches!
brundaddy
All the unoriginal rockabilly cornballs play orange Gretsches - be different and get it in black ... or better yet, save up for a White Falcon & get what you and I both know you really want. zigzag
Orange. But I also like the idea of saving for a white falcon if your color is white.
duane v
Well since orange and purple are my two favorite colors, and that guitar was meant to be orange....... Orange it is....IMO[biggrin]
yoda
Thanks for all your input guys, and yes I am a player. I'm in to bands, and everyone seems to like the novelty of a girl guitar player.
duane v
and everyone seems to like the novelty of a girl guitar player. that is strange on how that is perceived on music forums[biggrin] .... But back during the late 70's and throughout the 80's (when I was an active musician), the Sunset Strip was loaded with female musicians.

pohatu771
With those choices, I'd go orange, but if you could find a burgundy model, like George Harrison's Tennessean.
Witmer
Given those choices, I voted black, 'cause I think it's different on Gretsch... but this guitar is on my wish list, in the WALNUT finish, so...
Nick Beach
I chose burst. But I've got the G5122 in walnut satin. I just couldn't get along with the single cut and awful fret access, although the double cut's access isn't all that great either.
