I actually think someone who lives near that guy should check out that J-50 because some of the ones from that era sound amazing. Then if it sounds great make a low offer and then get the headstock either rebuilt or a new one transplanted on. It might turn out to be a bargain. Not sure if that pickguard is original either? Could be . . . I've only ever seen them in tortoise, but they may have made black ones? Anyone know? Ksd . . . are you there? This could be a project for you!!!
