Taylor Player
Been awhile since I have seen an updated "Collection" post..... I just took this this morning since I had the 62 Ibanez to add to the collection. Happy 4th of July weekend all! Get out and play some guitars.... My LG1 is traveling to our cabin with me for the weekend and will spend it's time playing by the firepit as usual. Here is the LG1 last 4th of July weekend enjoying some warmth by the fire! ryanfender
Yeah, for whatever reason I have never done a collection shot before. So I stopped working to play a little. I may have gone a little photo crazy but here are the best ones. My guitars: 1957 LG-1, 1990 J-200, 1999 Fender Telecaster American Standard
ksdaddy
I can't even keep my website updated. I'd take a group shot but I'd need a wide angle lens. I could probably skip the dozen Ovations; seen one, seen 'em all. (I knew that was coming so I figured I'd beat ya to it....)

ryanfender
Taylor Player, I am still envious of your Casino. Someday I will get a Epi or Gibson semi-hollow body. I so want to hear that tone.
bkharmony
Good idea! I just got one of my kids back from the shop, and I don't think I have a family photo. In fact, I might pull out all the beaters and the wall hangers even! I'll do it over the Holiday weekend. P.S. Big Kahua, please take down that first picture. You're initiating Guild GAS I simply can't afford.

I'll be lookin for your pics of the whole gang. :- I like these collection pics - I always see some stuff that I might have missed/overlooked, which after seeing a nice pic of, might go on my "to do" list. Like TaylorPlayer's Casino and damn, those LG-1's are calling me too.
onewilyfool
This is the latest and greatest addition......Bruno parlor guitar circa 1890, Brazillian back and sides. This guitar was (according to George Gruhn) made for the Bruno company by Haynes of Boston. Bruno was actually a partner of C.F. Martin I for the first three years of Martin Guitars....for it's size, just a sweet sounding guitar with lots of volume. I have Newtone Heritage 11's on her, and these are low tension strings made especially for vintage guitars like this. Ladder braced, VERY easy on the hands to play, has amazing bass response, and this one is a lifetime keeper. I just love the simplicity of this guitar. Here are some youtube uploads of the Bruno in action and some pics......'

larryp58
Zombywolf- Where did the double-pickguards on the J-200 come from? Is that factory, or were they added?

According to a few folks who know about such things, Gibson added the second scratchplate but later on. Gibson refinished the guitar at the same time which explains the red and large amount of yellow in the finish. If you look closely you will see two cracks which popped under the pickguard sometime after it was done. I have been thinking about removing that second pickguard for years. One day when I get around to it I will bring it down to my repair guy.
