LedZep2112
Awesome responses, all! This gives me some stuff to check out, especially those David Lindley records. I thought of another one: But for sure that could apply to any Rush album, in my case. +
Mr. Natural
...Third, the backing band sounds really good and surprisingly authentic--it's a testament to the integrity of the songs, and the universality of the Blues. Also, Wolf's vocals are great on this one, but frankly I haven't heard a recording of his where the vocals weren't great. He's definitely somewhere in my "top five of all time." Wolf has got Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman behind him. I think that's why this LP sounded so much better and sold better than the Muddy in London and Chuck Berry in London LPs. Dub-T-123
I love Amnesiac, Kid A, and Hail to the Theif A LOT also but In Rainbows is my favorite. I love Blue Sreen Life, This is a Pinback, Offcell, and Summer in Abaddon all by Pinback. These are some of my all time favorites. I just play the first song on my iPod by them and just play like 5 albums all the way through. They're just all good songs. I love pretty much everything by the Beatles but as an album, Rubber Soul is my favorite. The White Album has a couple of my favorite songs (Julia being my favorite) but there are some songs on the album that I could do without. Bossanova is a great album by the Pixies that I love playing from start to finish. I also love Doolittle, Surfer Rosa, and Trompe Le Monde quite a bit. I love You Forgot it in People by Broken Social Scene. Of course Dark Side of the Moon. Probably the ultimate album. I love so many bands and albums it's impossible to say them all on the spot right now. I'm definately an album guy though. I like to play whole albums.
