Darren W
Pete that would be a Gibby LP Studio you can get them a bit cheaper in OZ but not much. I recently got my Robot for $1500. You can get a Epi LP Studio for around $500 if your lucky. I cant wait to see the full specs on the new EPI Nighthawk, such as neck profile etc etc. I think the Gibby 2010 standard nighthawk is poo it has no angled pickup

PJ
I'll be getting a black one! Thank you, Jim - for the information. A terrific product (as is my new Les Paul Limited edition). Time to add to my Epiphone collection, for sure.
alfsboy
Looks like I may have to add this to my list .I assume they are out early next year .They look great and I think Transblack has the edge .I assume they will be available in the UK .Only D247 store is advertising them at present . alfsboy
The TransBlack is top of my list, too. Thomann had them listed for 300Euro some weeks ago, currently not, so I'm waiting Yup .... the Pelham Blue Dot will have to wait .the Nighthawk truly rocks

map
One of my favorite settings on the old Nighthawk was the bridge humbucker and mini humbucker together, shame that is not offered on this model. It does seem that the 3rd position on both settings (with pot pulled up or down) is the single coil pickup by itself. Why not have the bridge humbucker and mini humbucker together on the 3rd setting in the full humbucker mode? This would give the guitar 10 sounds and since production has just started, could be easily added.

midiman56
I gotta admit it, this guitar has put the hook in me like nothing else has in a LONG time ... and as my lovely bride likes to point out, I've been obsessing over it just a little bit. February can't come fast enough for me! Jim
Supersonic
I don't know if everyone else saw it or not, but I read that Seymour Duncan will be making after-market replacement pickups for the Nighthawk's slanted bridge humbucker. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
bigneil
I would consider buying one if it was 24.75 scale length or even a 25"... i just don't get on very well with longer scale guitars. other than that i totally dig it
cjlandry
I've already notified a few salesmen to be on the lookout for me. I will buy this guitar, even if I have to put it on a credit card to get it.
alfsboy
I already ordered a Trans black .Wonder how long I will have to wait for it to arrive in UK .Great news about the Seymour Duncan slanted pickup .It does seem ironic that a guitar manufacturer should negotiate with an outside supplier for a replacement for its product .It sorta of surrendering before the mast .Its the correct way to go .If it came equipped with SD's I probably couldnt afford it in the first place but I can upgrade later .Bad Gas for this one .I might go for the Allparts neck mini ,it seems highly rated .
