NeoConMan
I'd love to own a Yamaha SG2000. I had an SBG-500. Probably more Les Paulish than any of my Les Pauls. Very cool guitar. Made a killing on it when I sold it - and I still regret it.
Jeff-7
Three T3's in this thread so far, think we're seeing some commonality here.
NeoConMan
Yep. I'm with G-man and Jeff on this one. T-3 is a cool piece!

Yamaha can't call them SGs in the USA, for some reason. :-" I have a 70s SG30, 1 of the early attempts at a solid body Les Paul type guitar. Dom_JEM
Wouldn't mind looking for one of these 80's Japanese Vantage guitars, once I get my deluxe... I've always liked the feel of the necks and fret-boards one of these???
cookieman15061
I miss this guitar.(being modeled by my son here) An Electra X330 that had the module effects in a back compartment. Kind of a predecessor to the X Firebird I guess. By the late 70s japan was making some fine guitars. This Les Paul copy was one.

pippy
I played a Sabre II once, I thought it sounded ok, lots of treble. There was a time where a guy was down on his luck and I could have gotten it for $500 and I played it for a little bit and wanted to buy it. I wish I had I think I just want one for collectors sake. Although I really don't like strats so I have always been looking for an alternative. The MM Sabre wasn't actually that Bad; it just wasn't that Good and I'd hoped it was going to be wonderful. I really did like Strats at the time and thought Leo would have improved with the Sabre but it was just ...meh. I didn't get on with the active circuitry either. I loved my pre-CBS Strat and it's subtlety and the Sabre was like a treble-y steamroller. It was almost the opposite of a Strat. IMHO. P.

NeoConMan
Wow! What finish is that? I don't remember which one had the black perimeter fade.
shaved_ape
I like PRS bird inlays but I REALLY like their new bird inlays. I was told these are comparable to a Gretsch and the pickups are supposed to be like filtertrons. I still want to try one.
NeoConMan
Which model is that? There are so many now I lost track. Actually, they lost me after the McCarty and Archtops . . . Plus one for the Bigsby though!
shaved_ape
Which model is that? There are so many now I lost track. Actually, they lost me after the McCarty and Archtops . . . Plus one for the Bigsby though! It's the Starla, it's fairly new and I haven't even played it yet. Here is a closer pic. I have seen them in this color, silver, and I really like the blue. I have seen them with dot inlays, and the "new" bird inlays. Price wise they are only about $1500+ Which isn't bad for a prs in the first place. NeoConMan
Diggin' that Mahogany with the Bigsby horse shoe . . . I'm sorry, SG what? Eh, I shouldn't say that. I love my Maestro SG 61, and I'd love to have one with a Bigsby.
shaved_ape
I have never seen a 12 string single before what is it and when did they do it? Tell you what, buy the starla and take the bigsby and give old ape the guitar.

NeoConMan
Zemaitis = yummy! I have never seen a 12 string single before what is it and when did they do it? It's a one-off from 1995. Don't really know much about it beyond that - Gibson told me "Yep, it's one of ours" and that's it. They have no records on it other than production date. I learned more from Gruhn's when I had it appraised.
