bonzoboy Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Another great talent taken way before its time.As with Amy Winehouse and her struggle with substance abuse problems Whitney's death comes as a shock but not entirely a surprise.Whitney had a notorious problem with over indulging in cocaine, crack and a myriad of other drugs so it was almost a given that it would eventually catch up with her. I had seen interviews that she did on TV where she was almost catatonic and incoherent and obviously out of her skull on something or another. From the states she was in doing these interviews it wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to think that being wasted was part of her day to day routine.Anyway maybe the poor girl will finally find peace in Heaven.
Californiaman Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 The drugs really did her in. She was the best in the world. In her prime, no one could come close to her. So graceful and such a powerful voice. Sad. Really sad.
Versatile Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Sad news...RIP Whitney... A beautiful charismatic and soulful singer Fragile as often is...fell in with the wrong crowd etc... I read Dolly Parton financed her amusement park on royalties from Whitney's 'I will always Love You' A song also offered to Elvis Presley.... V

LarryUK Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Another case of just 'yes' men around her. Why didn't anyone help her? Just like MJ and Elvis. No one puts them in their place.
heymisterk Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Really tragic. I remember when I first saw her video for "How Will I Know" and she seemed so beautiful and wholesome; so tragic to go from that video to this ending.
LT ED Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Sad waste of life, looks like she was well of the rails R.I.P
bonzoboy Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Whitney's life and career started a downhill spiral from the minute she met Bobby Brown.Brown had the King Midas In Reverse syndrome-to quote an old Hollies' song-everything he touched ended up in ruins. He's just as much to blame for her death as if he took a 44 Magnum and put it to her head.He had such a control over her that she hung on his every word and he had her believing that everything he did was in her best interest. He should definitely be charged as an accessary if this is to be ruled drug related but sadly the law doesn't work that way unless he was the one who administered the lethal dose.Brown is a conniving, overbearing, opportunistic leech.

Agreed......This is truly a sad case.
