infantryghea08
Just recieved a new addition to my guitar collection: Epi LP 100 I love this guitar because of the price the feel (so much lighter than most lp's) and the sound (i play indie types of rock so it just fits me perfectly) and mostly just because i can beat it around and not really have to worry about it. I play it through my zoom G2nu pedal and a Fender champion 600 (nice little amp) Even though its a lower end epi its still one of my favorites because of the feel of the neck although i do plan on sanding the finish off to get a little faster action. All in all its a good little guitar. -my guitar collection- Epiphone Les Paul prophecy custom gx Les Paul studio deluxe Les Paul 100 Hummingbird -kramer Assault 220fr Fender 1950's reissue tele Strat standard
LPDEN
Despite my moniker, Ia m LP-less at he moment as you can see in the sig list. Though I am consideing a few at the moment... Including a NOS 1959 Epi LP that I swear plays , feels, looks and sounds as good as the 2009 Gibson 50th LP despite the material differences. The GT Bonamassa is a worthy choice I'm looking at too.. RaSTuS
Welcome to the forums, glad you're so happy with the LP-100, they are a great little guitar for the money, congrats on yours and HNGD.
SNick
Welcome. Smile and Wave... The 100's are nice. I like the Specials also. You are going to have to post a picture of your 100. Else it does not exist.
bkrejcik
I have an Epi LP Standard LE in gold sparkletop, with a Bigsby, and it is pretty much always the only guitar I have that draws any comments from the members of the audience, in spite of having much 'better' guitars (US-made Hamer, Tele, Industrial, Linderts, etc.). It plays great, looks great, sounds great. I'm thinking of selling it because it's my heaviest guitar and I have a neck/shoulder issue, but really the thing is an outstanding guitar. antwhi2001
I can't resist posting in praise of Samick-built Epi Les Paul standards from the 1999-2001 era. I had one, loved it, but sold it to fund a more expensive guitar. Eventually I had to get another, and I won't be selling. I've also owned a G400 and a Sorrento from the same factory and era, and all have been superbly built. I hadn't played mine for a while but had 30 mins on it last night. It's a joy to play. The neck and frets are exactly to my preference, and with Elitist pickups in it the sound is umistakeably Les Paul. Looks pretty good too.
midiman56
Congrats on your LP100, Infantry! Set up properly, they are great guitars and an outstanding value. I've always said that, in my opinion, no one has ever come closer to the "perfect guitar" than the Les Paul ... and Epiphone does a marvelous job with their version. I've owned up to eight Les Pauls at one time (seven Epi's and one Gibson.) A couple of the Epiphones have gone to finance other purchases, but the remaining five make up the backbone of my collection ... all different and all special to me: Les Paul Traditional Pro Korina: Les Paul Standard Plus: Les Paul Prophecy GX: Les Paul '56 Goldtop: Les Paul Ultra: Have fun playing yours, buddy ... and welcome to the Forum! bigneil
Oh, some nice LP porn, and where are your pics infantryghea08 ? Here is my 2009 Epiphone LP standard, a great playing guitar that was bought last year second hand for £100. Like new, the previous owner had it under the bed in a case for years having bought it new and only played it about twice, the neck is "extra medium" and extremely comfy. before modifications then I did this using a mirror scratchplate chrome pickup rings and some pickups out of the parts drawer. Then last week I finally got round to buying some nice pickups for it, they are Toasters and give the guitar a very "Gretschy" sort of look...the chrome pickup rings didn't quite fit properly (designed for gibby), so on went black pup rings and black speed knobs and a black poker chip, complete with battle scar. LPDEN
Nice job Neil, what do the toasters sound like and where are the from ? Nice updates, Neil! When I first scrolled the page down, it reminded me of a Gretsch Corvette at first glance.. Looks great! Any special wiring you did or straight ahead direct to Vol./Tone - Vol./Tone? bigneil
Thanks for guys. the pickups are by Vanson, bought them from an ebay shop based in the UK and they were very reasonably priced. Vanson ebay link When they first arrived I was slightly worried as the build quality does not seem particularly solid, but after wiring them in and having a wee blast on my hybrid marshall amp I felt much happier. Unfortunately they did not come with 4 core wires so I had to get rid of the push/pulls and settle for traditional LP wiring...I opted for a pretty stock Modern dependent, seymour duncan style. like this. I will give them a run on the Laney half stack later tonight and post up a mini review.
Epi Rocks
Welcome to the forum and HNGD. You're gonna have to post some pics of the LP100 dude. We love our guitar porn 'round here. Only have 2 LP's at the moment, Black Beauty 3 and an LP Standard. I like to personalize my guitars. (bloody fussy 'bout my things) Makes 'em uniquely mine that way. Cheers Paul

sneddy72
Here is my epiphone les paul ltd edtn, this was my first 'proper' guitar that I bought in 1999. I was just starting to play seriously so thought i'd better buy a decent guitar. For a few years this was my only guitar and was gigged pretty heavily. As the years have gone buy I have added a few more guitars to my collection and this one doesnt really get played these days, but I could never sell it as it holds a lot of sentimental value. Its had all of its hardware replaced over time and has had a few bumps and dings, once it fell off a stand and piece of the flame veneer about the size of a 2p piece came off, luckilly I know a superb luthier who restored the finish for me. bkrejcik
You know where to find me when you decide to sell................... [thumbup]....That baby would/will match my Epi Silverflake LP..... I guess we should start talkin', as I'm in the mood. These aren't the cheapest Epi LP, since they are upper-shelf Limited Edition babies, but I'm not unreasonable, either. It should would/will look sweet with a silver stablemate!
