buliwyf Posted February 27, 2013 Share Posted February 27, 2013 I dont play much bass but for the inexpensive $500.00 I got this still new looking 5 string Carvin bass with an ebony board with no frets or fret markers.It is an AC50 and it kicked butt and the fretless neck without even markers was a trip to play.The top was Koa and the neck and body was mahogany,even a nice Carvin case and dummy me sold it ,real nice Koa top though and kind of different besides. I dragged her along as a spare when we were in the rehearsal room and I DID open the case at some point but I used the R0 all evening. She's Simon's clear favourite out of my lot. I'll pull her out next time you pop around. She's the one fitted with SD Antiquities and the genuine PIO 'Grey Tiger' rep. caps I bought from Simon, BTW. And thanks for the nice words, chaps! P.
