Bender 4 Life Posted March 15, 2013 Share Posted March 15, 2013 looks like Gibson is trying to save on the power bill by running minimal temp on their units.... long as you're on & off quickly, pots don't fry as easily as the tales tell I solder at insanely high temps and have yet to damage a component....and never a cold joint or a wire that "pops loose". Aside from using the right amount of heat, that's pretty much the secret to a perfect solder joint in any situation. Always tin your wires..
