It would have a gloss finish, block inlays, 2 jacks for going stereo (really dual mono outs) to 2 amps that are placed where a LP's jacks are and not on the top like a traditional 335 or SG, a TP-6 tail peice, gold hardware, and a Varitone Switch. The only thing similar between that and a Lucille is no F holes. Here is what mine looked like.

That is what I think of when I think Dove. That is the only thing I am missing that I want. A Maple guitar. Had a Guild JF-30 and it did not gel with me. How much bigger is Dove compared to Martins Dreads. I just got a D-41 and had to sell the Guild, D-28 and D-18 to finance it. I would love a Dove, but cant afford another guitar that cost 4 house payments.

Those were like almost 3k new, so $700 is either a fake or its beat to hell or someone has not idea what they have or here is my last scenario its hot.

Living legend or not there is a time to retire and all the sycophants hanging on and telling you that you still got it are just leeches. Not sure what your budget is but there is good used real Gibson stuff out there that can be had for almost any price range depending of what you want. I bought a killer SG Special for $600 a few years back. It was clean and stock and a rock machine. Take advantage of what someone else does not what. Used is that way to go. With acoustics I would go new. Getting a nice acoustic and then finding out it need a $400 neck reset is a bummer.
