I seem to recall watching a old clip with the brothers sporting j180 size Gibsons with J200 appointments , with the star inlays. I also seem to recall another with even smaller versions. Like the L1 size
I seen a 2022 white Script L00 up here. I think it was 36 cdn bound top ,unbound back . I liked the playability and sound of it. I could not bring myself around to paying that type of money though . If it was a Legend series. That may have been different. There is something about those Legends that have the take me home .
the small bodies are cool.
Mine was a 1967 SJ. Quite similar to yours. I got 2500 out of it. It was in fair to good condition. Only reason I sold it was to get another Brazilian SJ200. The SJ is a good guitar.
Its worth half of the 3000 as a player. LG3s for some reason really dont sell for alot to begin with.
If The back was replaced and a brace held on with painters tape and it was not disclosed as such I would be returning it.
I would prefer to buy a Guitar Ive always wanted with my name in small print some where. After all I , I would be playing it.
Sig guitars are a Gimic. Most if not all entertainers are dead. And never even touched a fancy Gibson Great marketing . But. Why own a guitar with someone else name on it? Beside what makes the Gibson present entertainers play any different that the stock models being made. ?
Gibson Nashville might be able to tell you which store got that guitar. That store if it still exists might know who bought it. Gibson Im pretty sure keeps records of sales
I had one of those. Same as a 175. But with a different inlay, headstock treatment, Gold hardware with a L5 style tailpiece. , ebony fingerboard. Mine was a Burst finish.
Pretty much. If I take a picture of a item from my phone. Then post to add to file here . If I want to remove the picture attachment here , I have to remove the main picture from my phone.
Reverb is a good place to get a idea on value. It will give you a idea anyways. Keep in mind yours has not been looked at to see what if any issues may be on it.
Not a Gibson at all , at one time a Epiphone maybe. Gibson did if Im not mistakin did do builds up here. But not for very long. This one shown is not one of those. Hope you didnt buy it.
You wouldnt happen to have a picture of the heel?
also is it double X braced on the inside of the top?
some of the mid 70s Birds had small block inlays on the board.
