  1. When we were young and fine and did this song at weddings one or our knut job singers always sang "will you sell weed to me will you still breed with me". Extremely good times. rct
  2. It was our one month wedding anniversary. My young bride heard it on the clock radio as we were getting up at dawn and said "yeah well I still gotta go to work...". Good times. rct
  3. Take it to Guitar Center. They'll have the right one. It will be a trick, it is usually under the cash register counter, sometimes under the pedals, sometimes buried in the repair bench. It's a trick because depending on which type it is the thread are different, and different in each over different year periods. But they do have them, they have bunches that never went out with the guitars or came in with a trade and got put in that drawer, and then spare sets of black and white plastics that include the bar. If you know the year of it you can take a whack at the internet, order one, and hope it fits the first time. rct

    Christmas….

After quite a few back and forth to try the MPC and the Roland I called an audible and Santa heard me. This thing is dope. rct
  5. It is really hard to see past the sales bluster for sure. You might try a thoughtfully worded email to Gibson customer service or whatever they are calling it these days might get you some clarity, and it might not. rct
  6. Always put forth by people that just happen to own one or three or 5 of that series. I've been using Fenders since 1971, there are good and bad in every era, every series, and every country of origin. Same goes for Gibson. Trying to determine which era is better than all the rest will only lead you to people who happen to own one of the ones from the era they say is the best. You can only go and play them and determine their suitability for your uses yourself. rct
  7. I'm not sure what you mean by "non-specialist". Everyone here is a "non-specialist" and has to do the very same research that you do. You are right, there aren't very many 330s to be found, fewer American Casinos. But that number is the same for everyone, not just you. There probably just aren't that many 330 fans here, they aren't really yakked up much. Good luck with your search, GibsonWorld can be a tough hike with no map. rct
  8. Good deal. I did similar this year, May - June. It's a tough time, I feel your pain. This too will pass, know that you are doing the right thing. rct
  9. As long as the surviving members give permission to the right person(s) all is good in Skynyrd land. The same permissions given to others = plagiarism. LOL!!!!! rct

    Christmas….

I'm hoping Santa brings me So no, no Gibsons. rct
  11. For the adult beverage list we usually give good champagne. This year we are doing something different. After taking a couple bottles to Detroit, Toledo, and then Yellowstone and home, followed by another week down there in Disney World, we thought that we had pretty much had a pretty good American trip with some good American Bourbon. So this year, the serious on our list are gettin rct
  12. I just wanted to say, as usual, again, still... Jeezus H Krist DaveF has some eFFing guitars. rct
  13. For your guitar buddies, I use only these. rct
  14. They don't fill the grain. That's the "rough" feel, that's the dull finish. Don't fill the grain. That is all. You are getting had, like everything else in life. rct
  15. I assume you are muting on your "rest strokes". If so, you are lightly pushing the muted strings into a slightly high fret up there by the sound hole thingy. I know, fret rocker, but that doesn't always show you a slightly high fret or three. When you push down like a good guitar player should you actually lift the string higher up the neck, probably enough to keep the wound strings from banging against the offending fret(s), keeping in mind that mere gazillameters can mean the difference on the wound strings. That's my guess. Good luck with it. rct
  16. I do! That guitar too! Put that on the Strat talk. rct

    Why?

For the Gibson Senior Community Day Room, only McCartney can do that. rct
  18. Because Rights. Be careful what you stand up for. rct
  19. This is precisely why artists sell the rights to their music en masse and can then divide the money only. It's much easier that way. rct
  20. Went out as Adam Ant quite a few years in the 80's. Best. Costume. Ever. rct
  21. No. Gibson sells guitars to distributors who warehouse their own inventories. rct
