  1. The only thing not increasing these days are peoples income. Build Back Better! right?
  2. That was the first thought that came to my mind when this all transpired, The lack of response to my offer to ship, but no way I was paying the freight. That amp weighs 89lbs. "Doesn't want it that bad I guess." Now I see this name pop up, and it's even more peculiar. I sold that one via "local pickup" about a week later.
  3. Wait,, This can't be the same Ceasar... I had a Goldtone amp for sale on reverb last year I got bite on it from a guy who said he was from Gibson's Exec office and was interested in adding it to the Gibson Museum in Nashville. I aint making this up. His first name was Cesar. - You tend to remember a name like Cesar. He asked if I would ship the amp to Nashville. The add said "Local pickup only" But I told him if he'd pay shipping and insurance, I'd ship it. Never heard back from him. Could it be?
  4. Nice LP! Nice tobacco burst on that I also really like the 57s too. I have a few Gibbies with the 490/498 and I like those too.
  5. the roland V drums are pretty close my son has one and while the are not the exact same, they have a mesh style material on the heads, nothing like the rubber pads that some of them have
  6. Sad news, I always liked his music, he was a master at song writing and performing. My older sister loved the guy
  7. Martins of that age and neck resets seem to go with. know what you're getting before you plop down and greenies.
  8. sorry about your buddy, I know how this feels, I've lost a few, one was my wife's brother who I played in bands with for many years. I agree with Ian's advice. It might take some time to get a response, but it will be the definitive answer.
  9. the dude definitely needed to give them a chance. did he even work with them before the gig? time needs to be invested to sort out how to play them. when I first tried to get into using a midi guitar, it took a while to get the hang of it, I kind of hated it at first but I stuck with it and learned how to make the best use out of it. the results was we had a two guitar band, that some how, had a key board player somewhere in the room. I didn't learn how to do that over night. it took months.
  10. I am not sure there is any risk to that position if the hole is drilled to the correct depth. I can tell you that I put one strap pin on one acoustic guitar #2 and I didn't like the results when I would use the strap. It just didn't sit right, kind of leaned forward. I would use #5, all day, everyday.
  11. WOW! THAT is a thing of beauty! 🥴
  12. I'm in two bands the drummer for one has been one of my best friends since the late 70s. the other one is my son (who is no kid at 45 -- yes I'm that old) they are both MONSTER players! and.... Never is heard, a disparaging word besides, playing with your son is a gift you can't match, no how, no way.

  18. Scott's got some chops when it comes to this stuff I'm still kind of bummed I sold him my 73 Jaguar neck instead of seeing if I could commission to restore it. Live and learn.
  19. well that doesn't look like "grain" if that answers your question?!?
  20. Well, doesn't that look similar to a head stock break ? it does to me.
