  1. I feel Gibson is creating a lot of bad publicity fighting for their body shapes. I say let whoever wants to copy a shape do it, it may be a great copy, or not so great copy of a Gibson, but it's a copy regardless and it's only a Gibson if it says it on the headstock. Having said that, and although I'm not a great fan of the current publicity campaigns - with respect to builds and quality, i feel the new mgt has done a good job at making the line up more understandable, and the impression I have, mostly from comments on this forum is overall quality has been consistently high, which is most important.
  2. Morning 1 working from home, and kids home from school... didn't have to take time to make lunches, get cleaned up etc - so w/ the extra 45 minutes I had I did a couple run throughs of 'rock and roll aint noise pollution' and 'minnie the moocher' - stay healthy folks and hopefully eeek out a little more guitar time during this period
  3. Schools closed for 3 weeks last Friday, and just heard work is going to be a work from home situation for the next few weeks anyways. I don't mind it, but I do got a few folks I want to make sure stay clear of the virus - the rest I can handle.

  10. not here bk, mine was into music when i met her, came w/ a '68 SG and as a matter of fact had a job back then... that all changed when we got together. Now she tolerates me playing, I have a '68 SG, and it's been a long few days since she had a job 🙂

  12. Hey folks - thinking of future days post corona, and was talking to the wife of possible vacations and the idea of taking the family to a bluegrass festival came up. Thinking good music, family friendly, multi day and near by camping are all descriptors that come to mind. Does anyone have any input on festivals that would be worth checking out (North of Tennessee, East of Chicago) or where I should look to find this information? Appreciate any input (posting in the Acoustic forum thinking this group would be more aware?) Thanks - b
  13. I'm loving the whites...
  14. Just started a new job, and no longer working from home - so that's put a cramp in my playing style - but I still pick it up for about 45mins every morning before the day gets going. I find it puts me in a calming zone before I head into the day.
  15. I just saw one on Sam Bush, pretty cool overview of his world.

  22. Hey all, Would you just use this from you guitar to pre amp / pedal board if you have one, or would it be fine to use two at once, one to the pre amp, and one from the pre amp to mixer etc... Any input is appreciated. Rgds - brfm
  23. Might touch '70 today, I see my first campfire gig happening this evening. I got my bass and drums lined up, unfortunately no one else can see them 😉 KB - I think to your point is have a good group of folks you play with, and then play out to the schedule that suits you.
