  1. One nice thing about music is you don't have to like it, but there will always be a following for any style that is presented.
  2. I was talking to the guy playing the Jaguar, in the photo above, yesterday and he told me he bought that Jag and a Bandmaster head with a 2X12 cab for $150. You never know how the value on these things will change..
  3. Not really a problem, the aftermarket guys build any type PU you want in any case configuration you need so your guitar can maintain the original look of its designers.
  4. I watched Mandalorian last night and was happy to Katee Sackhoff (Longmire, Battlestar Gallactica) introduced as a new character.
  5. At my weekend session yesterday, I noticed that my volume level seemed to be down a bit, at first I thought something wrong with my HB's on the 339. After puzzling for a while I noticed the 1w button was pushed in, after releasing it my amp roared to life and the 339 sounded pretty decent. But I am looking forward to my Mean 90's arriving tomorrow.
  6. When I was his age I was into Ampeg, my Tele Bass below but also used a lawsuit Aria Pro LP. This was 72 by this time Dual Showmans were already old but still incredible.. After hearing a wall of SVT's at a Long John Baldry concert I had to have one. When I saw Blue Cheer in the mid 60's they used a wall o Dual Showmans, I was never the same afterwards..
  7. Hm the song was released in 78 the first year of Duesenberg Guitars hmmm. Timeline Duesenberg Guitars & Dieter Goelsdorf from 1978 to 2006
  8. A Strat and a Firebird into a Showman...
  9. Looks cool with the new headstock and the straight line scarf joint under the made in Indonesia label. I have been wondering who was going to be making the acoustics.. Note: the 99 would not have a scarf joint and also the more ornate headstock.
  10. Looks like it could be a Duesenberg, headstock shape and logo.
  11. I don't like routing either, a while back found the HB sized Mean 90's that just drop in, so that part is easy. Since the Epi 339 with P90's and the new Headstock isn't available yet, I got the one with humbuckings. I most likely wouldn't do this mod to a Gibson, although I did replace single coils in Jr's and Melody Makers with humbuckings back in the 70's, these were pawn shop guitars that I thought I was improving.
  12. From what I have read one of the most common culprits is oxidation on the RCA connectors on the tank, cleaning them may help. The connector cables are soldered directly to the main circuit board and are driven by a Microchip, not tube powered. If this is the problem a repairman would be needed. Also if the amp has been sitting for a long time the springs running the length of the tank could be sagging, test by turning the amp on its side to see if reverb response improves. If it does improve you may have sagging springs or foreign material in the tank. The reverb tank is normally mounted with 4 screws on bushings and usually has enough cable to remove it without disconnecting for testing or inspection. If the springs are sagging you may get it to work by adding shims under the mounting points. Its not that difficult to find a new tank to replace it with. badbluesplayer would be an excellent resource on this..
  13. Was talking about the band Utopia, not the album. Something Anything and Wizard were my favorites, the band Utopia was assembled to perform.
  14. I saw Todds one man show the first time he toured before Utopia was ready to tour with him. It was a good show, but the band behind him would have been more fun. So like he said at the end of Wizard " another year and Utopia will be here".....
  15. Well I need a challenge, my last conversion project, the Ibanez, didn't even need any soldering, just install the wiring harness and plug in the pickups..
  16. Hmmm, baby Yoda looks an awful lot like Gizmo, good use of an M36 as a display stand.. 👍
  17. No matter the political environment, they all deserve out thanks...
  18. Might have been a headbanger with the LP slung down to his knees..
  19. I saw this kind of thing done to get rid of the massive neck joint on Melody Makers not on a LP.
  20. Its fun to remember those days, my earlier shots from the 60's didn't seem to survive anywhere, but that was a different time.
