charlie brown
Gibson gives you the option, of a Black, or Red "Lucille!" Epiphone should do the same, don't you think? And, how about a Red "Sheraton" as well. There were Red one's in the USA line, prior to 1970's move, to Asia. Let's get that reinstated, into the regular production, as well!! Jayyj
Never understood the lack of a cherry Sheraton II - seems like it would be a no brainer from a sales point of view. With the Lucilles I guess BB only plays the black ones and they don't sell that many, but there again it's been in the line a long time so it must be reasonably successful. The odd batch of red ones would be interesting.
Bender 4 Life
Have a Cherry Sheri....but i'd be on a red Lucille like a duck on a June Bug !!!
byrds1965
Agree CB some color options on Lucille would be nice. Thought Gibson at some point offered a blue one too? Not a Pelham blue but darker, not sure of the Gibson name? Even better an ES 345 with stop bar in burst and other colors options.
Not-Too-Late
I'll go along with a red one. I would also like a cherry sunburst one as well to go along with my cherry LP.
burchster
Ive wrote to Gibson about a cherry sheraton 2. I just get the "I will forward your suggestions to the proper people". How hard would it be to slap some cherry stain on Sheratons...Also a dark wine red would be awesome!

Beautiful in red, but talking about the headstock - I think I prefer the one on this older Gibson Lucille 2003 model.

mgrasso
Gibson reissued the BB King Lucille Limited in 2010. Could not find a photo of the headstock. Not that I would go for $3,000+, but a plum or blue Epiphone I would buy.

CB Are we talking red or cherry? To me they are different, red equals paint whereas cherry would indicate a red stain with clearcoat. In this case; red, no; cherry, yes. mgrasso
Yes not that crazy about the green. They only made 25 of each color, and this was a special order from Musicians Friend. I think Musicians Friend should go this route with Epiphone. Aisian made, USA distributed, limited production series. Kind of like how Zzounds is the only distributor here for the Ice Tea ES-335. Campbell
Perhaps a Natural Finish Lucille to match my Sheraton II? (I like to see the natural wood grain on a guitar!)
