BluesKing777
Sick of the trad new stuff yet? Also a NAMM surprise! I’m thinking a custom order solid wood in gloss black with the blue stuff as binding on the body and neck, ditch the pickup for a Baggs Anthem maybe... Sgt. Pepper
I have had (have) several Martin's. Gone are a D-35, 2 - D-15M's, a D-18, and a D-28. I currently own D-41, 000-28, J12-16GT and a D-15M. To me that's yukky looking. Edited January 18, 2020 by Sgt. Pepper

Dave F
I like Martins and have a few but this looks too much like a Taylor. I see nothing wrong with their current cutaways.

Leonard McCoy
Does that mean that bolt-on neck acoustics are back? The specs sheet of the new Martin acoustic-electric (koa veneer b/s, "select hardwood" neck) doesn't read favorably but then again it's priced accordingly at least. Yes, this seems to be just as much about the new neck joint and the laminate, err. . . I mean, veneer sides AND back. and what guitar doesn't sound sweet with capo5. . . or "interesting" when tuned down. Guitar makers do have to try new things, though. The traditional models are still their bread n' butter (although the 000-28VS is custom order-only now).

rbpicker
The sound clips I’ve heard so far have not impressed me at all. Sound is thin and sort of sterile, IMO. I predict that this will not be a major success. Of course, I’ve been wrong before, so there’s that. rb
