RichCI
Personally, I prefer nickel but it depends on the guitar. I don't care much for black guitars either because they get all goobered up looking when you play them. Ironically...
Californiaman
I'll sing the praises of gold hardware.

DrJustice
Gold is fine for guitar hardware. Best with white or wine red. Look at my avatar... DJ --

mr newhaven
i only think gold looks good on certain guitars and certain colors... black for instance and gold look fierce! its like for cars...i can only picture ferrarris red, lambo's yellow...mercedes black or silver...etc... to see them in any other color just hurts my face! DanvillRob
Another pair of my guitars...one with gold, one with silver.
ShredAstaire
Yeah I suppose it depends on the finish and style of guitar i guess...i tend to stay away from gold in my daily life too (except as an investment)...I prefer a white gold, silver, nickel etc typically. Some of these axes look pretty cool with the gold hw....
DeVinci13
Nope, you are not alone. I hate gold hardware. I personally would never buy a guitar if it did.
Cruznolfart
Another pair of my guitars...one with gold' date=' one with silver. [img']http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac94/DanvillRob/DSC01194.jpg[/img] Those are pretty nice, Bob. As you'll see, though, some instruments dictate that you stay with the vintage style, including the missing original mounting screw. These babies squeek when you turn 'em. [biggrin'] Can you put some lube on them? Every tuning looks like it'll hurt! BTW.... just how old IS that axe? Looks like it's been around since Hector was a pup.
