How did you find the Epiphone Forum?

Why did I just know that would be your answer?... "clean...very clean."

 

With all these Beatle experts here and the recent loosening of the grip on content I'm thinking about creating a little Beatle trivia game of my own. Did I ever mention that I too find the Beatles and their history very interesting?

The old fashion way, bought a Epi G-400, went to the Epi website, clicked Forum and joined. This site is the 1st one I go to daily. Gotta get my Epi fix.

It was winter and I was hunting wild game when I came upon a clearing in the woods and first saw it.

I didn't know what it was at first and I didn't want to take a shot at if it was out of season.

It looked cold and frozen in the snow and as I drew closer I could tell it had been abandoned there by Gibson.

I took it back to my cabin and nursed it back to health and when it was strong enough I put it back up on the internet.

The first time I ran into it was when I was a Katrina refugee in Houston. With no money except for food (FEMA paid the motel bill), I had nothing to do for 5 weeks other than sit in the motel and surf the web. I had recently bought an AlleyKat, and decided to see what else Epiphone had to offer. As I recall, I posted a few times and got banned for something I said. I hooked up again this year after the mods forgot who I was, I guess. Don't know what I said wrong, but it got me booted.

 

I just googled "Epiphone forum", which is probably what I should have written instead of the above. Sheesh, no wonder I get banned.

Well, Jeff...at that time, you didn't need a reason to be kicked off...they did that to everyone! Maybe it was

"Tough Love," and they wanted to see how "loyal" we are to Epi's? LOL!!!!!!!!! They do seemed to have

"relaxed" a bit, lately... Just hope that trend will continue!

You're right. Six months ago, the mere mention of a Beatle was enough to get a thread deleted. I guess they have realized that censorship doesn't breed loyalty, but only fear. You couldn't ask for a bigger fan club of Epiphones than this forum. And I sort of agree with Ed Roman [Yikes!] that some Epiphones are better made than Gibsons. I picked up a Gibson Les Paul Doublecut at GC a month ago, and it didn't really impress me. I think that Epiphone's Chinese factory could do as well on everything except the finish (I will always prefer a lacquer finish).

i diddn't know about epiphone until i saw it in guitar hero. there. happy?

 

i liked what i saw and i figured i'd look it up and see if i liked what i heard too.

 

found the forum that way.

 

then when i went to buy a guitar, i found out that no local stores carry epiphone, gibson, kraemer, steinberger... any gibson related brand.

 

so i got a washburn

and found a barely used epiphone amp.

 

and i still want a dot...

(or a sheraton, riviera p93, casino... i see how GAS can become such a big problem...)

What Washburn do you have? Save some money for a Dot, everyone should own a Dot.

Stumbled down through the Gibson forum..... hanging out there GASsing for an ES-335.

 

Ended up being gobsmacked by a '96 Sherry with Seymour Duncan '59s.

 

Came down here to see what it was like, and it was really good.

 

Lots of intelligent un-pretentious guitar talk.

 

Apart from prolife.....

Found it at the Epi site.

 

I'd never heard of forums until I found this one. Now I realize there is a forum for any and every obscure subject. None of them are as good as this one.
