I lucked out and got a NOS Elite Byrdland (NAT) a few years back. The case for the Elite was nicer than my case for the Elitist. Go figure.

I have 12 Elitists or Elites all told. Just the logo is different; the case is the same (with the exception of the Lennon Casinos, naturally, and the McCartney Texan).

Is your case grey-lined, and not purple? If so, maybe the seller kept the purple-lined case and gave you a standard Epiphone grey-lined case.

I guess I don't understand what you're trying to tell me. Are those two SGs yours? If so, are the two cases different in some way? Except for the lining showing up in the photo as a more blue color in one photo (as it often does), those look like the same cases all Elites/Elitist came with. Is there something different about them or in the Casino picture I missed in the photos? As I said, I have both Elite and Elitist models, and there is nothing different between either the guitar or the case except the logo, which had to be changed due to a service mark dispute.

I have one of the faded SGs like in the second photo, though mine has the regular Elitist headstock. It's a great guitar, isn't it? And congrats on your Elite Casino. They are lovely guitars. All the Elitists are very well made and sound great. Yours looks mint. It's wonderful that you found one in such great condition. Enjoy!
