OMG!! Who's guitar is this?? I think I'm in love! The mirror guard is incredible, you're a master! Yes they all look nice, but I swear I've just learned what a TRUE GAS ATTACK is!! Seen guitars and really wanted them, saw this one and immediatley started thinking about what I own that I could sell to get it!!!!! It's stunning! Brag away, Twang! You've earned it!

I've done a lot of sheris and dots.. in about all the different models of long and short and sheri style guards..

I bet I've got five to seven different templates just for sheris.

that harm in cream was his design.. and then the other guy saw it and had to have it, too.

It looks so much better than the oddly shaped stock guard.

those are nice guitars, too.. six or twelve.

yeah that blue one with the mirror stuff.. and that wasn't even my best mirror material I found another source for thinner stuff.

it looks fantastic.

I have done the rear plates in mirror, too, but I couldn't find the pic.

I really like guards. I don't make diddly on them and you have to bust your chops to get 'em nice. but it's so coooool to see these pics what the heck. can't be all about money.

I was not a fan of blue for a long time. but every time I see that I realize I was stoopid.

I got some blue pearl in.. and I'm dieing for someone with a blue paul to try that out.

and I ordered a sheet of blue shell that really sizzles.

I'm still looking for three things..

sheets large enough for flying v's... * the least expensive in that size was like 400.00 and I can't afford that in one color.. way too small a shop*

gretsch gold..I may have a chinese supplier..

and marble mica.. which I've only seen one of and can't find anywhere so far.

The thing about guards is... if you can get someone to try a different color.. or different shape.. not for making money, but people just don't realize

how good they can look when they aren't all black and white guards.

Plus for me it's so much more interesting to try something new. Same price, so it's not like it's spendy.

Look at that blue.. he's got the chrome knobs the blue pearl inserts.. very nice touch.

He could have had a free mirror output jack plate.. I don't know why he stuck with cream.

well.. I'm blathering on aren't I? Ok I'll shut up.

thanks all.. nice to know you guys/gals dig the guards!

The mini caster was one I've never seen.. so I never got to look at it.. did the guard from a trace the owner made.

I think it's a fender though, I'll ask!

I'm trying to find aluminum, too.. I know I can get it at the hardware store.. I used it on my lp making a piece for the bigsby to match and cover the bushing hole that was exposed.

So I know it can be worked.. and buffed out nice.

I'd like to find some in black and gold, too.

I have no idea of the cost.. I know it's hard to work!. I think I could get a sheet big enough for a guard ..

I never thought of stainless. I bet they have sheets of that too.

I need to go to Lowes or Home Depot one of these days they've always got stuff I didn't think of

thanks for the idea. I'll get on it.

On a related note, I still haven't done the final fitting - it's a tight fit on there now. I've got nothing but time for the next month, so I should probably get around to doing that. The guitar still needs a few wiring fixes, too. It had a bad hum, but I wanted to use it for a show, so I soldered a paper clip in to replace a bad ground wire. I think it's time for a real solution.

Oh yes...nice...VERY NICE! The two that got me thinking, were the natural with Bigsby, and the Sherri. Notice how the curve in the natural compares with the curve on the Sherri. Wonder how the curvy one would look on a Sherri? Hmmm.

thanks for the spirit pics.. I love that color.. came out a little washed out in some.. but still looks great.

and thanks again carver.. I think they are coming out pretty nicely.

Once in a while I have a redo.. esp. when I do something I've never even seen before for a guitar..

like copys of fenders, etc.. they aren't always exactly the same.

But I always redo for free plus return shipping. Can't go around disappointing people.

jwalin.. sheesh! thanks.. I'll be all over that site. going to bookmarks with it right now!

Uh -Uh!?!? I was first on the Blue and chrome!!! See my post ahead of yours!! Right Twang?

Okay, as soon as I win that lottery, I'll get you one after I send Digger his guitar!!

Anyone else?

Sheila

(heavy sigh)

PS - Would that pg be overkill on an Artic Blue Epi Strudio? Hmm . . .
