well the egyptians had no problems building the pyramids...or was that alien too? [blink]

Even the Aztecs who settled in the Lake Texcoco in the Valley of Mexico. They built their city upon islets in the lakes, with many walkable passages to get from one islet to the other. These walkways were even movable to allow for an uninterrupted passage of canoes. Further they had a Great Pyramid/temple on the main city of Tenochtitlan and this was around 1300-1400 C.E.

Aliens? Ha.

The human sacrfices gave them the power to do it.

I can't say for the Egyptians though.

*sigh

Stonehenge was not built by aliens.

Moving stones that large has been done by ancient civilizations repeatedly.

This guy did it in his own backyard to prove a point.

Anyway, the piece that was in the middle that might have shed light on what Stonehenge was was carted away a long time ago to be used for materials in a bridge or something probably.

Hey Neo,

Tell him much some of those big cranes can lift. I think we could easily build Stone Henge, the Pyramids and anything else the ancients built. Of course dem big cranes are clearly alien technology given to us by our benevolent friends from outer space....... B)

If you know what you're doing, moving surprisingly large object is not that hard.

Happens every day in industry around the world.

I used to do it for a living as a crane operator.

Many of the jobs I went on were simply to place/assemble the moving equipment and wait until they were done to take it apart.

I was on one job four hours total with a company who lifted and set a 500kv transformer that weighed 400,000 pounds.

I was home in time for lunch.

Stonehenge... was carted away a long time ago to be used for materials in a bridge or something probably.

You Blokes from Blighty probably know this, but...

When I was at Stonehenge we saw several other stone circles and such in the area.

It is believed that most of the destruction through the centuries is from locals.

They chipped stone away from these old things nobody used anymore to build dwellings, roads, bridges and fences.

... even now we cant do this...

Yeah, I'm still a little baffled that somebody would think we can't do this or that.

Time to log off and get out into the real world for awhile.

But since you're here, check out everything you can find about these guys;

<...>I've been to Stonehenge.

Not one alien showed up, unless they were cleverly disguised as foreign tourists...

That could have been me ;-) Been there, done that.

Edward Leedskalnin built the "Coral Castle" in Florida with some of the blocks weight several tons, using no machinery. Probably used the same "teeter-totter" technology.

Been there, done that, too.

Actually, he did it with parts from a Model T Ford and some big poles. Leaf springs for levers and axle and transmission parts to make pulleys for a makeshift "block and tackle".

And I read somewhere that the pyramids were built on natural sand formations that occur in the desert that are almost that shape to begin with. This cuts the labor problem down considerably.

Here in the USA we have a lot of illegal aliens, but they don't bother me, because they have contributed over 2 billion dollars into the social security fund last year (part of my retirement) by using phony SS numbers to get work.

But the "space brothers" I think seeded the planet, mated with the apes, and when they saw what came out, they went back to Andromeda.
