sexygibson
I picked this up a couple days ago. Its a 89' Korean built Epi. L.P. Standard. It has the openbook headstock, Kluson style tuners, Gibby pups with a coil tap, and the OHSC.

animalfarm
VERY Nice! Fretboard inlays, Vintage Tuner Bushings, Eye-candy finish, AND it's had 22 years for the wood to settle in. PRIMO STUFF! Should the opportunity EVER present itself, I AM curious which Pups were used (model # sticker on back, or Resistance measurements of neck and bridge), but not critical. Just for records sake in DIY. Good to see your "Face" again!!!!!!

RobinTheHood
Awesome guitar, SG! I'm jealous. I want one of those '89's...preferrably in an SG flavor though. Any plans on putting the second tone control back in with a proper push/pull coil-tap?
musicmaker99
Beautiful in every way and the upgrades make it top notch. Great score!!!

sexygibson
Thanks for the nice comments and the welcome back guys. I do feel pretty lucky to have found her. I think I got a pretty good deal on her too, $350 out the door. I will pull the pups soon to see exactly what they are; Im just guessing the 490R/498T combo but could be something entirely different. I plan on ditching the coil tap completely and installing a 50s wiring kit but will leave it as it is for now and maybe it will grow on me. The neck profile is much different than any other Epi I've ever owned. It is smaller and flatter but still very comfortable.

sexygibson
Another pic of the original case. It has a couple of broken latches but I thought it was pretty cool.
