  1. Great, most do. But other than hearing it, how does one describe a guitars tone accurately. Its like tying to describe what a tree looks like to someone who has been blind from birth.
  2. Its a Gibson Enigma. I just looked and I saw a posts that Mr. Gruhn didn't even know when he was called and asked about it.
  3. I thought 345's had parallelogram inlays? But it is a Custom.
  4. It is a 2005, and the serial number does match the year. The way Gibson did the serial number back then was from the left the first 5 numbers are the day it was stamped. With the serial 0200555666 you take the first (0) and fifth number (5) and that is the year. Then the three numbers in the middle (200) are the Julian Date so it was stamped July 19th, 2005. Plus I don't think someone would make a fake with a Bigsby and a Varitone on it. The other numbers mean stuff too.
  5. You can find the specs, but tone you have to hear in person. There may be a YT video of the two.
  6. There must be something different about them, or they would be the same guitar, and not need different designations.
  7. The check off list say 1994. What is up with the writing on the head stock with the P on it?
  8. I only played one FB in a GC in Braintree, MA. It was so long we had to open the door to make room to play it.
  9. So was it Joan, Poison, Crue then D L as far as how they came on?
  10. Good on her. Hey keep my man’s wiener warm, I’ll be back for it in a year or so.
  11. So unlike a Strat or Tele, the stings all wind over the top on a FB?
  12. I played one D-18GE, and it was one of the best sounding Martins I ever strummed. It was priced out of my league, so I got a D-18 Std instead.
  13. He cheated on her to with May Ping (I think that was her name) in the 70's in LA, when he was "Rock Starring " it up with Harry Nilsson in his Lost Weekend phase. They were separated so I guess John was free to stick Little John where he wanted.
  14. I think it was supposed to trendy back in the 60's to have stuff you own made out of N W. Yeah its about an affair John had. Hey let's write a song about it, no one will guess what its about, least of all my wife.
  15. Hell yeah. It could have of course REAL diamond inlays on it, to up the overall price to about 30k. I've mostly seen him latter in his life playing black guitars. On the Hot August Night album I think he was playing an Ovation. I've seen him with custom Martin's with his name on the fretboard like the old singing cowboys used to to. I think he had a Gibson J-xxx when he did that acoustic album. I've seen Neil twice. Anyone ever hear, and its not really a song, but its called The Pot Smokers Song form Velvet Gloves And Spit. My parents tortured me with Neil when I was a kid.
  16. I have said it before and I’ll say it again I would just about bet my house John’s voice is going though some processing. It has to. None of the greats can sing like they used to. And the amount of chemicals he put in his body. No way he’s doing that with out help.
  17. That is does, or another way of saying it is it puts it out of phase with the other one. No matter what way current flows through only ONE pickup it will never be out of phase. You need two pickups to be out of phase. https://www.seymourduncan.com/blog/latest-updates/pickup-polarity-and-phase-made-simple
  18. If you saw stuff like that tripping you took a damn lot of LSD. It was a decent song, but nothing to drool over. The solo was real good.
  19. Well it’s Friday night and I'm unsupervised as my wife is at a music festival in VA close to the TN boarder. I'm high watching a Grateful Dead concert from '89. Got a vodka on the rocks close at hand. Jerry is killing the solo in Ramble On Rose. Another trip to the garage. Yep. I hope every tourist in the world is here. I’m not leaving my house tonight.
  20. That is a lot of other D-28’s. Those are all different beasts. What model you got? My standard had none. My HD-28V, yes it did, but it’s a HD and V too. All those will be totally different than the Std.
