I began learning the song Message in a Bottle by the Police. Much more difficult than it sounds. You really have to stretch those fingers on the fretboard. Ouch!

Talking Heads. Been listening to all their albums last couple of days. No other music like it. David Byrne is superbly unique! -

I've used a couple for years. Never had any problems with them.

It's ok. Pick it up by the neck.

Just because you write a lot of songs doesn't mean $hit! I've written more than her. I have more respect for someone who has written one great song than someone who has written a thousand crappy ones. It's quality. Not quantity.

I watched something last night called Punk Revolution: NYC. It was about the same thing you are talking about. It was over 3 hours long and was great! Saw it on Amazon Prime video. It wasn't just about CBGBs. It has Max's Kansas City, and other clubs as well. Much of it was about the Velvet Underground as well and how they started the whole thing. They had much about the bands you mentioned, plus, Patti Smith, Television, Talking Heads, Heartbreakers, New York Dolls, etc. This was all about the roots of the Punk scene in NY during the late sixties and early seventies. One of the best, most informative documentaries I have ever seen on the subject. Maybe it was different.

I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps he means the same "kind" of people. Which I would also disagree with. Not analogous.

My Dad was stationed at Hickam AFB from 69-73. We lived in Aiea for the first year. And on Hickam for 3 years. I was 8-12 years old. I have some wonderful memories of that paradise. Not so many of Aiea. But Hickam was wonderful. Pearl Harbor was across the street from my house. You could see the Arizona Memorial from my front yard.

I would like to have sung I'm 18. Even though I'm 40 years older than that. I still get confused every day 😃

Not impressed. Looks like it's morphing into a strat. Doesn't look like a nighthawk at all.

Got my hair cut today for the first time in 3 months. I feel Marvelous! 😃

Without knowing the condition or seeing it, that would be impossible.

It looks like Epiphone forgot about thier lefty customers

Perhaps you could adapt. Worked for Jimi. 😄 And I'm sure they made fewer lefties then.- 7 replies

Bet you still wouldn't have spent $35 on Fender picks in 7 years. At least I wouldn't.
-
I understand the point you are making. But.......it's really an unfair comparison. 12 Fender mediums at $3.89 vs. 1 Blue Chip at $35.00 does not equate to a $8.98 12 pack of Budweiser vs. $ 16.00 +. Not even close...

Bought a new Les Paul Double Cut, but I have a few questions
brad1 replied to Gibson486's topic in Gibson USA
The OP did not say anything about having sharp edges on the frets. I think he is just referring to the size of the frets; jumbo, medium jumbo, etc. I could be wrong. -

Nut is fine. You are just use to those shiny plastic ones. Fret heights differ on guitars. Some folks like them high some like them low some like them not there at all and some don't care. Scratch is your call. I would not like having a scratch on a new guitar. But that's the reason you got it cheaper. If it sounds and feels great I would keep her. -
A wonderfully considerate and excellent thought if I may say Sparky!😄
