  1. FB? Not familiar with it. Or do you mean FaceBook? Damn. I don't do the "FartBook" thing. If HARDCORE PAWN still focuses on that Detroit pawn shop i've always liked that show, but the channel that carried it on my cable service dropped it for reasons never stated. Whitefang
  2. Sure. Since Jimi died 50+ years ago some of the most highly regarded guitar slingers have made good on sounds and styles that never existed in recorded music before Jimi. Without Jimi for instance, there my never have been an Eddie Van Halen as we know him. Or a Robin Trower(as we know him) or a Stevie Ray Vaughn. All who've capitalized on methods and styles that Jimi first brought to the table. Face it.... James Marshall Hendrix was the major game changer in the music of the late '60's. Just as The Beatles were just a few years before him. Couldn't care less about either Brady or Ozzy. Neither ever played a major factor in my life. Whitefang
  3. I'd rather see them dance. Whitefang
  4. "Angry Eyes"--Loggins and Messina Whitefang
  5. There's an old joke that goes...... A man in Boston on business was packing to go home when he remembered a friend suggesting to not leave Boston without trying their specialty dish of Scrod. So when he got in his cab he discovered he had two hours until his flight and asked the cabbie, " Say, do you know where I can get SCROD around here?" The cab driver turned and said, "You know, I've been asked that question a thousand times, but never in the pluperfect subjunctive!" Whitefang
  6. Likely a few Strats and a flying "V". Whitefang
  7. Waiting for delivery of "JUERGA, the firs LP from Manitas de Plata. No clip of any track exists, but to give you an idea.... Whitefang
  8. Yeah, a nephew of ours used to have annual "pig roasts" when he lived up in Gladwin, MI. Know what you mean. There used to be a restaurant my ex and I would frequent that offered a sandwich of their own creation(so they claimed) in concert with the Reuben sandwich, which is(as you know) corned beef covered with sauerkraut on grilled bread. Their's was called the "Abraham" which was corned beef and Swiss covered with slaw on an onion roll. Not too bad. and...... CROW: There used to be a "family" restaurant, part of a chain, named "Friendly" that served cole slaw with a dash of horseradish in it. Nowhere else I know of does that. And that Friendly place is long gone now.(I don't think that cole slaw had anything to do with that though.). Whitefang
  9. As an American, I've always strove to speak fluent English as a second language. Whitefang
  10. But...... I know several what I'd call c u n t s that have no vaginas, but male genitalia . Even worked for a few now and then. Whitefang
  11. Just call it "shredded pork" and I'm fine with it. But given what "pulled pork" means otherwise I'm reluctant to fill my mouth with it. And I've only had shredded pork sandwiches with the meat soaked in some kind of BBQ sauce. Not familiar with the vinegar juice. Doesn't sound too appetizing. Whitefang
  12. "Angel Baby"--Rosie and The Originals Whitefang
  13. SEE? THAT'S why I'll NEVER put anything called "pulled pork" in my mouth. Same with that candy called "pop rocks". 😉 Whitefang
  14. So then maybe it's Kermit's MENARDS special? Whitefang
  15. So, does she have any single sisters? Whitefang
  16. In the Epiphone lounge we're discussing Mexican cuisine and I made a comment about asking my wife how many Mexicans went into that Mexican sandwich she once ordered. So I have to be fair and ask.... How many shepherds are used to make a shepherd's pie? And speaking of such.... Why isn't there any POT in a POT PIE? 🤪 But think about it. There's pumpkin in a pumpkin pie, sweet potato in a sweet potato pie, apple in apple pie, cherries in cherry pie, etc.--- but NO POT in a pot pie? What gives? Whitefang
  17. It's sorta like that old joke about blind prostitutes. You really gotta hand it to them! Whitefang
  18. My wife and her family all liked her Mariachi LP( Canciones de Mi Padre). Compared to the Mariachi bands I've heard around Southwest Detroit it holds it's own. Also on my mind is the story about the fool who drove all the way from somewhere in Illinois to Waterford Township in Michigan to meet a 14 year old girl me met online. When he showed up at her front door he, instead of saying "Hello" or anything else just demanded to have sex with her. When she refused he got angry and stabbed her multiple times. She's OK, survived the stab wounds and last heard she is still stable and was moved out of ICU. And I feel glad for the guy. I mean it was a horrific thing he did, But after all, she did refuse to have sex with him. And he was caught. And no doubt he'll be going to prison where he's likely to get ALL the sex he doesn't want! I couldn't be happier for him. Whitefang
  19. I'm not sure there ever was an actual "Detroit" pizza. Some do have a big, square thick doughy concoction they call "Detroit style" pizza, but I really wouldn't brag about it. There's an old pizzeria named "Buddy's" that's survived 75 years now and claims to be the originator of the square "Detroit style" pizza. They've added a few locations over the years and also brag that they've been voted #1 by food critics in the area for years. They make just regular pizza too, which really isn't too bad. And BTW---- It's egg YOLK. Not YOKE! Whitefang
  20. Yeah. The only joints I smoke are pig's knuckles. Whitefang
  21. Well, your pretend decent human can use a little work. Whitefang
  22. Caesar's would be alright if you could get more than pepperoni as a topping. All the ones around here offer the "Hot'n'Ready" or their version of a "deep dish", and now that half pizza/half Cheese stix. At east on the stix you can get bacon on them. But not on the pizza side. I know what you went through when your friend came to visit. My ex and I used to go to a place in Ecorse called Frankie's for their spaghetti. It was always great. But when I took my second wife(when we were dating) who's never been there before, it really sucked. And after my building it up on the way there it made me look like a fool. I hate when that happens. Whitefang
