Past influential favorite players are Hendrix Gibbons SRV

Present favorite players are Eric Johnson and Paul Gilbert

And it does change from time to time. There are alot of really great players out there pro and just regular Joes. All of them have a special talent.

Pat Metheny - he makes me want to learn more, inspires me

Ed Van Halen - his different pharasing and timing, effects using the guitar

Paul Gilbert - man of many styles, he is like a walking musical dictionary. Also his great string skipping technique

Stevie Ray Vaughn - musical passion, he just oozed feeling

Joe Pass - walking bass lines, chord melody

Me....

hands down.

I suck. But I'm my favorite player. [biggrin]

I heard one of your recordings. You don't suck at all, in fact just the opposite.

My favorites are pretty much all Brits except 2 - Johnny Winter and John Hiatt.

The Brits are: Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Pete Townsend, and any of the Beatles except Ringo (who is a favorite drummer but a different thread).
