Mike1412blue
Brian May Personally my favorite because even though I like blues, jazz, classical and other kinds of music, a great straight up hard rock guitar player always appeals to me.

chewy60
my playing is basically an homage to jeff hanneman. just the emotion and aggression of his style inspired me to turn my feelings into sound too....

Drog
Pat Metheny - he makes me want to learn more, inspires me Ed Van Halen - his different pharasing and timing, effects using the guitar Paul Gilbert - man of many styles, he is like a walking musical dictionary. Also his great string skipping technique Stevie Ray Vaughn - musical passion, he just oozed feeling Joe Pass - walking bass lines, chord melody

HeadCase
Brian May! I never get tired of his playing or tone. No question... my favorite. If I had a gun to my head to pick 2nd & 3rd place... I'd go w/ that guy from Led Zeppelin, and the bearded one from Texas.

Tman
Me.... hands down. I suck. But I'm my favorite player. I heard one of your recordings. You don't suck at all, in fact just the opposite. My favorites are pretty much all Brits except 2 - Johnny Winter and John Hiatt. The Brits are: Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, Pete Townsend, and any of the Beatles except Ringo (who is a favorite drummer but a different thread).
