rct Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I usually can't tolerate this guy for more than a minute. This is really well arranged and recorded, I don't know if he wrote and arranged or just hired well, but man I love this one. The solo in this one is even listenable, though he should have called me. I'm not even southern and this brings a tear to me good eye: rct

cookieman15061 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Yeah liked it for sure but a bit surprised they didn't have him walking the cross walk on Abbey Road.
surfpup Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Thought this was gonna be about Southern Comfort. I like mine over ice with a little lime. Brad Paisley's alright too though - if a bit on the commercial side. Wouldn't upset me if he backed of the compression a bit.

rct Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Thought you were south Joisey??? Actually, where I'm from was just below the Mason-Dixon Line, so technically we are southern. But us southerners don't have nearly the delightful accents, rolling scenery, and impeccable manners of the Southern United States. As much as we dearly love anything west of the Mississippi, the south is pretty special to me and the Mrs too. Paisley plays most of his solos like he was listening to a different song in the headphones or he has Tourettes or both. More is more, and most of the time more is too much. Hows the new Casino in yer lovely harbor? rct
IanHenry Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 This guy Brad Paisley is truly awful, though his video's are rather funny, check out his one with the girl singers funny walk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qzhngp7jh8 Hilarious! Ian
Jimi Mac Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I'll give that a thumbs-up! I'm not really into country so much, but I think the spirit of that song and the wondrous spirituality of God's creatures was great!
Starpeve Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That is actually pretty dreadful, isn't it? Lame as all hell.
badbluesplayer Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Love Brad, but... If Brad Paisley's complaining about how backward this place is, no wonder it gets old with me. Think about what it's like when every spoken word has the emphasis on the first syllable.
ZenKen Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Hows the new Casino in yer lovely harbor? Not a gambling man so I'll probably never go there. Last casino I was near was up your way, the Revel to see Steely Dan last year. The wife may have dropped some of the kids inheritance into the slots however as she finds them entertaining. Hope it helped the schools in my former home state as the pols promise gambling will do here. I remain skeptical...............

Oh man, had our last dinner at Amada last week, one of the best around, it's in the Revel. It is really bad downtown, sad to see the decline here. Revel and Showboat are done this weekend, the original Trump is done in two weeks. 4 closed this year. I hope the Harbor can make a go of it, we love the AVAM and there's a couple good eateries on the Harbor. rct
