sparquelito
I did some Craigslist swapping yesterday afternoon. (I'm broke like Nicholas Cage, so swapping is the only way for me to acquire any gear these days.) I let go of a really nice bass guitar that I just wasn't playing, and traded it for a Capri Orange Fender Duo Sonic. She's a 2016 MIM beastie, and a previous owner installed a Ken Armstrong Chaos Series Dual Blades humbucker in the bridge position. A really fine playing, good mannered, kick-***-sounding guitar! I can't believe I waited this long to go short-scale.😌

Yessir, Stratocasters and Teles are typically 25 1/2" or longer scale. But the Duo Sonic, Jaguar, and Mustang are 24" scale guitars. It's a thing, apparently. I'm not complaining, this guitar has perfect intonation. :)

If so I just found my next jones... and I was supposed to be done with electrics 😉
Twang Gang
That is a cool color - congrats. Not really familiar with that model, but I like that the pick-up selector switch is not jammed up against the volume and tone controls like it is on a Tele (where I could never accurately and quickly get to it in the middle of a song). I'm conflicted about short vs. long scale. I was always for years a Gibson 24.75 scale player and when I tried 25.5 either with a Strat or an acoustic I struggled to reach some positions. But in more recent years I've found that the longer scale gives my old, not so flexible fingers, a little more room to work. I'm sure you can get used to the 24" with a little woodshed time. Enjoy. merciful-evans
You've been and done it now Sparky 😍 I've been wanting one of these for at least a couple of years. I played one locally and really liked it. Yes I want the single coil version too. Love the short scale feel and love the sound, which is still Fender, but sort of earthier. The Kent Armstrong upgrade is juicy too. Strewth! I'm gonna be thinking about this all the time now... 🎸
