Big Bill
I think it may be due to the lack of punctuation that may have confused things. Edited August 11, 2021 by Big Bill 1 4
Rabs
Should you not post this on the Epiphone section? They arent made in the same place as Gibsons..

Rabs
The thing is that the pandemic has effected everything.. Epiphones are made in China where this all started.. And theres global shipping issues... It simple.. If you dont want to wait buy something else.. If you really want the Epi, you will have to wait. Theres plenty of options out there on the cheaper end, more than ever before...

Punctuation and spelling are important. e.g. "Epiphone really knows it's $hit" vs "Epiphone really knows, it's $hit!"

Larsongs
I’ve had a Royal Tan Epiphone USA Casino with Nickel Dogear Covers on Order for more than a Year… Still waiting.. jdgm
It is all to do with the pandemic which has disrupted almost everything in some way or other. Shortages of materials due to high demand, staff all along the chain of supply going off sick or having to isolate, all sorts of things. Presume you ordered from a Gibson/Epiphone dealer? sparquelito
I'm getting to be a 'buy local' guy anymore. I did order that white SG from Reverb last month, and was pleased that it only took a week and a half to get to me (from Texas of all places). But my very next guitar acquisition was from a local pawn shop. And I like it that way. Since I am blessed to live in a market rich in guitars and gear availability, I think it's going to a more frequent occurence, this business of buying local and in-person. 😗

To be honest, this isn't one of those web forums. The posters here, most of them who have been aboard many years longer than myself, are fairly mature, experienced, supremely knowledgeable, and generally quite helpful. And yes, many of them prefer to read postings that feature proper English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Your original posting was, admittedly, lacking in merit with regard to those stated attributes. Your vent, on the topic of long shipping times and guitar gear delivery delays, is a valid one. And many fellows here share your pain. But I can only advise that you take just a bit more care to capitalize, punctuate, and to avoid run-on sentences. And to please avoid getting into flame wars with the seniors around here. Either that, or be incredibly funny and entertaining. Your ability to make the seniors laugh can carry your threads a long way. In short, your stated topic was an A+. Your delivery was a D- at best. You can choose to bring it with fair and style, or you can choose to post in the fashion of your earlier attempts. And then find yourself mired in one after another pi$$ing contests. Me, I would go for the former over the latter. Respectfully, Sparky from Harvest. 🙂 1

There's only an opostrophe in "it's" when it's a contraction of "it is". Perhaps teaching others about punctuation isn't your calling. 🤣 It's 'apostrophe'. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
kidblast
Guys,. c'mon.. wtf is happening to this place, it used to be far more friendly than it is now. if we'd stick to the thread topic, and you have nothing positive to add, for f--- sakes, move on. @razed, the wait / delays suck, it's happening every where. it is disappointing. As an example, some furniture we ordered in the fall of 2020, arrived about 3 weeks ago. perhaps you can find a case queen on Reverb or Ebay, Hang in there, eventually, things will settle. Sweetwater is one of the largest product movers in the U.S. they usually get resupplied earlier in the cycle than smaller places. So, if you ordered from them, you'll probably have the best shot at getting your hands on a new one as early as possible.

Whitefang
Heck. I just might settle for someone who knows the difference between "To" and "TOO". Or "There", "THEIR" and "They're". Throw in "Here" and "Hear" also! And now also throw in "Your" and "You're". Whitefang Edited August 11, 2021 by Whitefang
