Murph Posted February 16, 2023 Share Posted February 16, 2023 New original, I'm playing the J-15, the 1933 Gibson mandolin, Fender Jazz bass, Fender square neck resonator and even a Lira accordion towards the end. The Ohio river has taken a lot of lives and this is loosely based on that. It all goes together in a stunning way. I couldn’t decide if the singing and general vibe reminded me of Randy Newman, John Hiatt or Levon Helm, and that is a VERY good thing. Impressive. They don't do lightning fast solos, or EVER try to impress with ability, just simple recordings of Americana done with good taste. You're so kind, Sal. I truly appreciate your support and opinions.
