Thundergod
His guitars have the word "custom" on the headstock (kind of the guy's brand) and it looks cool... But I was thinking I'd like to take it one step further. Chose an option and elaborate on it please.
surfpup
I'd totally buy a "Thundercaster"
Murph
You might have a legal issue with "Thundercaster". Maybe not just a one off, but your builder still might hesitate doing it. As for your name, that would be okay I guess, but I wouldn't like it. I'd leave it his way. Sounds like a cool axe though Thunder. Looking forward to seeing it, man. Murph. FirstMeasure
I know it's not one of the choices, but how about Thor's Hammer on the Headstock.
Shnate McDuanus
"Thundercaster" is freaking cool, man.
Riffster
The thing is that the word Thunder on a guitar does not make much sense, I would suggest a logo instead.
Shnate McDuanus
The thing is that the word Thunder on a guitar does not make much sense' date=' I would suggest a logo instead.[/quote'] Because thunder suggests bass frequencies? I guess I see what you're saying, if that's the case.
Thundergod
You might have a legal issue with "Thundercaster". Is there a guitar with that name already? As for your name' date=' that would be okay I guess' date=' but I wouldn't like it.[/quote''] Because of how it sounds or because it's some guy's name? Sounds like a cool axe though Thunder. Looking forward to seeing it' date=' man. Murph.[/quote'] Thanks Murph, means a lot coming from you... and I'm looking forward to play it! But, I know me... the minute I get her, I'll probably come here first and give you guys a first look at it! (and maybe then I'll finally post a video)
Thundergod
I know it's not one of the choices' date=' but how about Thor's Hammer on the Headstock.[/quote'] Thought about it too... I'd have to find a drawing that can be easily routed into the headstock.
Thundergod
I'd totally buy a "Thundercaster" But then it wouldn't be a "one of"
Thundergod
Thundercaster and a Lightning bolt in the middle of the headstock... Thundercaster along the side of the headstock.... Good idea Dave, thanks, I think I'll have to go through as many drawings as posible and work them with the guy so he tells me what can be done and whatnot. recsec
If I remember the pictures it had kind of a telecaster headstock, which would limit the amount of space so how about thundercaster with the lightning bolt as a slash between the word thunder and caster or use the lightning bolt across the top to cross the two T's?
Shnate McDuanus
How about "Thundercaster" in capital letters with a lightning bolt for the body of the first "T," and then a lightning bolt as an underline? Does it make sense? I think I worded it strangely...
Tim Plains
What about the same logo you use(d) on your amps? Or just leave it blank...
Riverside
How about a great big "Euro" or "Johnson" sticker?
Californiaman
Thundercaster. But you have to have a Pearly Gates in the neck position. That's key. Regular or hot bridge pickup with a Pearly Gates in the neck. That's it, oh yeah... and trans blue.
rocketman
What about the same logo you use(d) on your amps? TG, can I see this again?
DeVeeWee
Since association with 'telecaster' is too big, I wouldn't go for 'Thundercaster'(although it sounds great). I'd rather differentiate my brand from Fender's by having a completely different font and lay out on the headstock...this would be an option for me: TG (with a link to ESP)
:oilpit:
Call it.... A guitar with EMGs because that is what it will sound like Consider your balls busted, Thunder...
Hector Arcadius
Thundercaster and a Lightning bolt in the middle of the headstock... Thundercaster along the side of the headstock.... +1. Absolutely, brilliantly, perfectly cool... The name, the guitar and the man behind it. What more can you ask for?
cookieman15061
How about the capital intials T and G slightly staggered with the T a little higher. for Thunder God. and a lightning bolt on the TRC
Wally Walrus
I don't care. As long as you use Fender Wide Range Pickups. This is for all you Gibson sluts:
65 Casino
Thundercaster - great idea. Creates a vision - the headstock with pearl inlays raining down lightning strikes on the Thundercaster logo (Bold font befitting the time of Thor also in pearl). Midnight Blue metal flake body and headstock as background with optional storm cloud color(s) around the body for the burst effect. Lightning bolt fret inlays with Thor's hammer at the 12th fret. Custom made tuning keys - Thor's hammers. Naturally I would use an SG or LP body vs. the telecaster body as I am a proud Gibson **** - just to bring on the Thunder. BurstBucker PU's with custom covers again, with the lightning bolts engraved in the center - Black Chrome with Chrome lightning bolts. Grey Pearl tone and volume controls. Optional pick guard - clear. Optional finish - Black Pearl
RichCI
I'd go with Thundercaster. As long as you're getting a custom guitar built to your specs, you might as well give it a cool name that's all your own.
