Buc McMaster Posted July 30, 2010 Share Posted July 30, 2010 I took the day off work today on the occasion of my 58th birthday.....and my 2nd anniversary with my lovely wife! Getting on in years it seems to make sense to consolidate things like dates....makes it easier to keep track, you know. So I rolled out of bed late, picked up my guitar and made a video of the first song I ever wrote. Yes, I'm sure there were a few aborted earlier attempts, but this is the first one that seemed to work at all. I've played it with bands over the years and it's been done as a country tune and a rock n' roll number as well. I suppose this is what you would call one of those "3 chords and a cloud of dust" songs. It's a cheatin' song, but not written from experience......just from pondering a cheatin' situation from the perspective of the cheater heading home from an illicit trist. So, without further ado, here's how I spent a few minutes of my birthday.....
