Hey Scratch a chill may be equivalent to a tingle.....:-)

Just thought of another tingler from my youth Alvin Lee and Ten Years After 1970 the Cricklewood Green album, I was 14 and it was a hot summer, Brazil won the world cup, Jairzhinho, Pele....., and in my bedroom listening to Hendrix, Alvin Lee and a host of other wonderful guitar sounds. Enjoy Alvin on this track....Oh, nearly forgot what an intro, a real mood setter....

One just pre Britpop era that is instantly recognisable to any Brit over twenty

Don't know how good those demi gods did in America and how familiar you will be with them

Got to love John Squires personalised guitar, he is an artist in the truest sense

To me honestly and truly, the most distinctive opening notes ever in guitar history

Luckily those first two notes have been updated for the modern generation to enjoy

I know I'm Losing You - Ronnie Wood, Faces

One of his best.

And Ronnie Lane kicks on bass (RIP)

I loved the Faces but The Temptations original with probably Joe Messina on guitar intro..........The session musicians The Funk Brothers at Motown.....the unsung heroes who handed out the riffs

Alvin Lee "Goin Home"- WoodStock version.

I can't hear that fast' date=' never mind play that fast!!! Always reminded me of [i']Amadeus[/i]:

My dear fellow, there are in fact only so many notes the ear can hear in the course of an evening... there are simply too many notes, that's all. Cut a few and it will be perfect.

I've always liked that song, and play it almost every time I pick up an electric. I just like playing that intro and then going into that cool blues riff/shuffle.

We must have a similar taste in music.
