  1. Looks like a regular Studio. Its not a Faded. But before the Canadian took over Gibson made a 100 models of everything .
  2. The GC I go to in N. Myrtle it seems locks up all the stuff 1500 and higher. A Martin 000-15 you can touch but a Gibby J-15 you have to get the 22 year old with the keys of power to allow a 53 year old that could buy any guitar in the acoustic room, and allow me special permission to touch said worthy axes. But yes I get it, but are 16 year old interested in the one and only D-28 or J-45 there, and I'm sure unless spending daddy $ certainly can't afford it.
  3. I see 3 V Basses on Reverb. None are 12's and all are not red and almost 4k. I think the same 3 are on ebay.
  4. My head is now spinning. I want a Use Your Illusion LP, so I can play it outside a church in the cold November Rain. Of course I wont plug it into an amp, and my shirt will be totally unbuttoned.
  5. I'll play devils advocate. There yours do it.
  6. So a fake of a fake copied from a fake. Clear as mud.
  7. Yeah one costs more. But seriously are the specs any different (binding, pups, number of peices of the body ect)? Is one made in the custom shop? Not sure.
  8. I know what a spanner is. You English have cool words for stuff like lorry and lift. We just call it a truck and an elevator.
  9. If yours sound great keep both. What is the value of your 2 vs his 1.
  10. I live in Virginia. 2 weeks ago in the 30's and 40's. This weekend low 70's and some rain. We will get snow here usually in late Feb.
  11. I looked it up 1 Pound Sterling in '67 was $1.29. So 1.29 x 27 = $34.83
  12. I used to have a radius gauge, and I do not have a J-45. Lots here do and can probably rattle off more J-45 specs than you can shake a stick at. Why don't you take the lead on informing Thalia. My Shubb and Kyser are the radius for my guitars. Thalia's are a like $60 and I got all the capo's I need. Not to mention Thalia can do the same thing I did go on line an look. Plus they are selling the product and should know. You would think they may have different guitars in the plant to do R & D.
  13. That is fine, but if your capo is not the same radius as your fretboard it will not put even pressure on your strings and one or two may choke out. But I think Thalia's come with replacement pads for different radius's or is it radii?
  14. Here is is from the horses mouth. https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/ACC7JP801/J-45-Standard
  15. Local Store if you have any that will give you a fair price (not GC). Reverb and only do local pickup. If you live in a smaller town or city it may limit how may people will be interested. And it depends on how far you might be willing to drive to meet half way if you agree to that. I just sold a guitar on Reverb the other day and the guy was 50 miles away. Asked if he could forgo shipping and meet half way. Yep. I don't have t ship it and he gets to see it on the spot. Of course meet in a public place. We met at the library on the College Of William and Mary. Lots of people and they have campus police in case anything dumb happens. Police Station parking lots are recommend.
  16. If you just want the pup to look the the other one, put a piece of foam under the side that is dipping down so it will not be able to lay at that angle. It wont affect sound. It's like shimming one side just with soft foam. But yours is extreme. You may have to trim the foam to get it at just the right thickness.
