  1. Okay, you have to admit that that video was horribly funny and effective. πŸ˜ƒ
  2. A close-up of the headstock would help, I reckon. πŸ˜—
  3. I have always admired guitar/gear sellers who stage their gear nicely, and offer up beautiful photos of their item, in order to entice prospective buyers. And then there are those who post a hastily-snapped photo of their guitar with dirty laundry and empty Bud Lite cans in the background. Beautiful sales image! Pretty good job: Man, what were you THINKING?? What say you? Does staging matter? Any recent examples of great photos or horrific online sales photos you have witnessed? πŸ˜‰
  4. I just compared my bank balance to Gene's. His is larger, by some margin. The man is doing something right. 🀫
  5. RIchie's voice is still in top form, last I checked. John voice 's is not. Their performance at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame demonstrated that much. It might be a matter of hearing loss, I guess. When you can't hear yourself, you can't hold pitch. 🀫
  6. I always liked a lot of Bon Jovi songs, and my band played Wanted Dead Or Alive to much praise over the years. And I'm a fan of Richie Sambora, and his blues guitar skills. That said; John's voice is shot, and his ability to hold pitch is non-existent. And Richie can be a real ******-bag sometimes. Which is fine, since he doesn't tour with John anymore. So. To answer the OP's question, uh.... YES. It's time they give up. 🀫
  7. Okay, now there may be a clue here. A Maestro seven string acoustic-electric 7-string bass guitar. With the same (or similar) pre-amp. I can't divine anything from the soundhole sticker in this one though. https://offerup.com/item/detail/1338075583 πŸ˜ƒ
  8. I have searched the interwebs for the past hour, and came up dry. Beats anything I have ever seen. 🀫
  9. Spot on. Nailed it. Overall great look on that partscaster, except for the fingerboard inlays. Those are as wrong as a Priest and an altar boy in a hot tub. 😬
  10. I drove cars the first half of my life. My later history with trucks; New 1994 GMC Sierra work truck. Gave it to my daughter-in-law in 2001. She wrecked it six months later. Used 1994 Ford Ranger. Drove it 2001 to 2003. Gave it to my wife's nephew in 2003. He wrecked it six months later. 2003 Subaru Baja. Sold it in 2019. (Old dude is still driving it. Fingers crossed.) This here is my current daily driver and my band gear-hauling van. Ford Transit Connect, bought it brand new in 2019. Been driving it ever since, just 38,000 miles on it. It's technically in the 'light truck' insurance category, so sue me. 🀫
  11. This is totally what I read when I first saw that. 🀫
  12. A good and comprehensive review, rct. I thank you for that, sir. πŸ™‚
  13. I like that guitar. A lot. πŸ™‚
  14. Wow. That is a beautiful instrument!! πŸ˜ƒ
  15. Verne, Our opinions won't matter much in the question of your long-term guitar happiness. There are a lot of seasoned guitar players, gigging musicians, professionals and amateurs alike, on this forum. This much is true. But you like what you like, and we all like what we like. The type of tonewoods and manner of construction matter a lot to some people. And then there are those who just know what feels right and sounds right to them. I recommend that you play everything. Play every single guitar you can get your hands on. Take your time, and do not be rushed. DO NOT try out guitars with a woman standing around nearby, impatiently tapping her shoe. Go on this journey alone. One guitar will stand out. One will sound and feel like perfection to you. That's the one, sir. πŸ™‚
  16. Very exciting! And happy-almost Birthday. πŸ™‚
  17. Okay, so I have known a lot of talented Army NCOs in my day, but THOSE guys and gals take the cake! Just fabulous!! πŸ˜ƒ
  18. I suppose that I could be convinced to change my mind if the industry (and guitar players around the world) began referring to their guitars using the new expressions for not-quite-solid-body guitars. OLD Categories of electrics Hollow body Semi-hollow body Solid body NEW Categories of electrics Not-quite-solid-body Weight-relieved solid body Partially-hollow air chamber body Solid body minus Featherweight faΓ§ade body Anorexic alder body and, Bulimic balsa body πŸ˜ƒ
  19. Come on fellows. Let's all be friends. (You know, like prison, only without the forced sex. ) 😬
  20. An international tragedy. Madness at an all time high, and human decency at an all time low. That said, I have a hard time categorizing that heartfelt song as a Pink Floyd song. I don't have much love for Roger Waters, but if he's not involved, it isn't Pink Floyd. 😐
  21. Such a great couple, Moss and Tracy!! Heroes in every sense of the word. πŸ˜€
