RichCI
David. Lee. Roth. He does play guitar during "Ice Cream Man," even if that's bending the requirements a little. IMO, there is no better front man except James Brown and even that's a close one.

solacematt
See, reason why I said they had to be a guitar player too is because, well, 1, this is a guitar forum, and 2, for some it's tougher to actually be more than just the guitar player and vocalist. For example, I picked Dave Grohl because he isn't boring, he interacts, and is an overall good frontman. A person who is just a vocalist kind of has no choice but to be a good frontperson and move a bit, otherwise they're going to get a bad rep as, oh they're good live, but they're kinda friggin boring in concert. Like, I like Seether, but goddamn they're boring as hell live, just standing there and going through the motions not giving a damn, no crowd interaction. When your songs are easy as hell, you better be a good front person and have fun up there :)
