merciful-evans
In fact I'm just about to have the Seymour Duncan active pups changed out of my Jackson Elite and replaced with fender style vintage pickups. I visit the luthier tomorrow. The luthier talked me out of it. I'm now trying to sell the Elite. A couple of kids came to try it out yesterday. If it fails to sell we will go ahead with the mod though.

StRanger7032
I like the HSS , mine's a black Fender American Special , they sound completely different from other Fender models . Good Luck 4H They certainly do sound different. I've been playing it for 2 days now and I'm going to be making some major electronic changes. The humbucker is high output and the single coils are, well...not. It causes a huge shift in volume when I switch between pickups, and I can't really nail any of the classic Strat tones. I'll be changing to a SSS setup of some variety. The member who sold it to me has an EMG David Gilmour loaded pickguard setup sitting around which may find its way into the guitar. http://www.emgpickups.com/dg20-davidgilmour.html

RevDavidLee
Well, the forum member who sold me my ES-339 just emailed me last night and gave me first dibs on his mint American Deluxe HSS Strat. Since I'm posting it here, it would be safe to assume I did not decline! Should be here next week. Here's my version of that bad boy - my 97 Fender USA Lonestar strat. Love those Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates

12ay7
Nice Strat 4H In fact, the Tele is my #1, except for slide. The Strat is set up as a dedicated slide guitar. Once I get my Ron Ellis P90s (6.5N, 7.1B), I'll be able to use the SG, as the output will match the Tele. Right now, the pups are altogether too hot. I WILL be selling the Gibson P90s if anyone wants them, but obviously not until I get Ron's replacements.

rct
You should just buy my Strat pictured above 4H In 2013 they offered me a Select Tele right off the floor. Rainbow paint on uber flamey maple top. A beauty, the lady finishing the polish handed it to me and the guy giving the tour said in my ear "$4800 and take it home" and Mrs said in the other ear "how much" and I said in her hear "too much" and handed it back nicely. Them Selects are schweet! I just spent a lot on a Strat I had given up on ever owning, so I don't see any strats or teles for a while now! rct
