cookieman15061
Usually my current fav is my latest acquisition but a recent birthday gift from the wife,(surf green telecaster with all rosewood neck) caused me to do a little modding on my rosewood lite tele. Me thinks it worked out well as the rosewood tele now has the Harrison vibe and the surf green tele is just plain bad A$$.

That is one of the best 'And We Ended Up As Lovers' pictures I've seen hereabouts, cookie. The RW Tele needed that RW/RW neck and the Surf Green Tele needed that RW/Maple neck. Wonderful result! Pip. cookieman15061
Without any hesitation my Gibson Tal Farlow, I waited so long to get one and I was not dissapointed: That right there is about as good as it gets. I believe Daryl Hall plays one on occasion on his tv show. Beautiful!

'Scales
Some beautiful guitars there guys. This one I got 25+ years ago for about $100 at a pawn shop. It's not my oldest, 'best', or most valuable, but the one I tend to grab first anyway Refretted and a monster HB whacked into it for current fun project but pretty well made back when. cody78
WOW, how could you not LOVE that one! I couldn't even afford to think about one of those! CB Yeah, cody, I'd give my left hand for that guitar, but... Thanks CB and zigzag. I was quite lucky when I bought it as it came via DV247's parent company in Germany where it was priced vastly cheaper than here in the UK. I got it for £2800 (about$4000) less than the usual UK price which was a pretty massive saving. I had to get it after the salesman gave me a quote that low! I bought it without trying it out first, but knew I'd love it. When it arrived it was flawless in terms of build, looks, tone and playability and a perfect addition to the archtop section of the family. That looks awesome to me. Looks like it's been well loved, and those Aria Pro II guitars are great. I have one called "The Cat", and I would play it all the time too if it were right handed. I nearly lost it a while back playing an outdoor protest 'festival' (end weed prohibition ) - thankfully the drummer insisted on driving back late at night to search in the dark - lesson learned about relying on others to pack your gear in the van... I actually owned a brand new The Cat when I was in school - my first decent guitar - in candy apple red. After I got this '84 model a year or so later I didn't feel the need for 2 and I could get more money for The Cat. It was a nice guitar for sure! cody78
My heavily modded '93 Epiphone G-400 will never leave my collection and will probably go to the grave with me. That is, as long as I can keep from breaking the toothpick-sized '61 neck! I love this thing dearly, although the SG in my Avatar is a close second. It's nice to see someone pick an Epi that has sentimental value. My first electric guitar was a 1996 Epi LP100 in honeyburst which my parents got me when I was 12. I still own it, play it every so often and love it. Like yours, I believe that's the one going to the grave with me. It's been with me over half my life and while I love my other LP's, SG's, L5, ES-5 and so on, it's that old Epi that has the most memories. I would be devastated if it were ever stolen are damaged, so much so, I never take it out with me or gig with it anymore.

I only own 3 guitars and my Epi would be the best of them. It has a mini-HB that is cool and the neck is very thin across the nut, but has the most awesome taper in depth and profile. I bought my daughter a lefty SG400 and it's a nice guitar too.

quapman
Yeah Yeah,, I take crappy pictures and I don't clean my guitars. Sue me! I have a fav electric and acoustic so I'm posting 2. It aint pretty, I dont like the colour Pretty much how I feel about this guitar but it's feel and how it plays is second to none. That's why I bought it. The one thing I don't agree with Mercy Evans on is the Floyd. I loved that thing when I got it. I used to wank on that thing every chance I got(hard) and if the strings were stretched it stayed in tune. It was crazy. I don't care much for wammys now but hey, I was a kid. They still have their place but it's not so much now. This was a well made geet in it's day. I bought it brand new in 87 to replace a 69 LP Custom I had stolen. This was the closest thing I could find that felt the same as what I had stolen. Including the new customs of the day. Sorry Gibson but I just didn't like the new Customs on the wall. It was also way lighter which I didn't mind at all. The board on this thing is so nice. It just plays frickin nice. Everyone who touches it wants to buy it.. lol F'em. For my acoustics this is my hands down favorite. The sound is awesome and it plays real nice. It smells like candy.

'Scales
There's a blue Cat on Ebay for $150.00 , thought about buying it 4H Just check if it's a late Japanese build (in which case it will be great) or early Korean (they were just getting up to speed) - they would have changed in about '87-'88. Mind you, at that money...

surfpup
There are some really drool-worthy guitars on here. Best porn thread we've had in a while. I find it really hard to pick a favorite myself - not because I have that many - just because they are all different. I've never been one to really bond with one guitar over another. However, I'm really loving this Tele I "made" (Does that make it American, btw?).
