GingerSG
Now this is a toughie.... Singer: Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) Lead Guitarist: Jimmy Page (Led Zep) Rhythm Guitarist: Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge) Bassist: ? Drums: Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) This is what immediately springs to mind but I could probably come up with something better if I had plenty of time! P.L.E.
Vocals: Chris Cornell (this is a toss-up; too many choices. Obviously, Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant, among others, were easy choices. I was just trying to mention someone a little more "obscure"(?). Also, this guy on American Idol... yes I'm a loser... is really talented) Drums: John Bonham (glad I'm not the first one to mention him!) Bass: Flea (he's so funky) "Lead" Guitar: Slash (some say he's over-rated, personally, I love his tone and the color he brings to every track he's on) Guitar: Pete Townshend (I especially love his acoustic playing) Slide Guitar: Derek Trucks (easy one) Optional: Dobro: Eric Sardinas Synthesizer: Roger Waters Ha, I've thought about this a lot! NeoConMan
FM, We seem to agree on music as much as we disagree on society. :-) Vocals: Paul Rodgers. Maybe Lou Gramm when he could actually sing. Freddie Mercury was cool. Lead Guitar: Mick Ralphs of Bad Co is largely responsible for me picking up the guitar. Too many to list. Rhythm Guitar: Sammy Hagar, he could double on vocals. NeoConMan would be another great choice.... Bass: Geddy is too busy/flashy for me. Tommy Shannon of SRV's Double Trouble Drums: Might as well put in Chris Layton. PH Naffah is one I've always liked from Roger Clyne's band the Peacemakers. (I don't know why I even bother with these threads, other than to let people know what a killer rhythm player I am.) :-)

FirstMeasure
Neo, I was noticing the same thing :) I like your choice of Hagar, Shannon, and Layton for a rhythm section. Of course if Mick Ralph and Sammy are unavailable, You and I could step right up.
Cruznolfart
Who the heck wants to see an all guy band? This group needs some femininininittitty. This applies to the studio (especially when he started using electronic kits) and all the live shows I saw. His drums sounded like wet cardboard. May be a player, but give me a Brit drummer like John Bonham or Kenny Jones.... Not a Springsteen fan at all, but Max Weinberg does a great job with a tiny kit like Bonham or Bun E. Carlos did. - or Buddy Rich. Oh, and I have to disagree on the whole chick thing. No estrogen for me - sorry. I play guitar to get away from that sh!t. NeoConMan
Dem00n, We're gonna need more than a simple emoticon from you if the entire post was worth quoting. I'm not sure it was, especially when the original is on the same page - not six pages back in the thread. Where are you going with that, did I really speak for you completely? C'mon boy, type!!! :-)

NeoConMan
Same here. Immense talent and great music, but I never thought they could walk on water. Eddie changed the face of electric guitar for sure, but the technical Gee Whiz stuff leaves me a little cold. Same with Vai, Malmsteen, Satriani and all the Shredder Dudes. It's like watching gymnastics all day. Sure, it takes talent and skill few people possess but I'm done in like 30 minutes.
