Bender 4 Life
Because i'm on narcotics for osteo-arthritis(i'm only 45 dam*it!) and trauma induced arthritis in about half my joints, I only drink a few times a year. When I do, it's either Patron' Gold..........Makers Mark whiskey......Or usually Guinness Draught. or a "Belfast Carbomb" Whats a B/C you ask? 1 shot of Jameson Irish whisky 1 dbl. shot of Baileys Irish Creme 1 pint of Guinness Draught Slam all 3 down, in this order, as fast as humanly possible......... Wait for your doors to be blown off !!!!!!!!! Dont toke anymore either.......I suffered burnout syndrome so badly that chainsmoking Hydro wouldn't buzz me.......then a few months later, my employer informed me that I was no longer "grandfather claused" out of being available for drug testing. I'm just lucky that they don't count legally perscribed drugs as a positive test........i've not been tested yet (i've been on the list for 3 yrs now) but it's coming some day. Homz
I typically only drink while jamming. My drink of choice is Canadian Club, usually straight up, but occasionally with Mt. Dew.

saturn
I enjoy a good bourbon, but I don't mix it with Coke any longer. Just cut it with a little water and sip slowly. I learned long ago that sugary drinks give you a bad hangover if you drink too much. The keyboard player in our band turned me on to Scotch. We usualy have 1 or 2 scotch/waters at our gigs. ChanMan
Thanks man. This thread inspired me to write a new song. I guess the long and short of it is I like the taste of alcohol..... I'm sure the buzz has nothing to do with it. Gentleman Jack is my preferred sippin' whiskey, though.
Cruznolfart
Because i'm on narcotics for osteo-arthritis(i'm only 45 dam*it!) My condolences to you for this' date=' compadre, that's awfully young for something so destructive. I'm not on narcotics [i']yet[/i]. Tramadol still working for me a couple times a day normally, along with daily glucosamine. My worst is in my knees, which I can brace. Gramma's is spinal, can't do a damn thing about it. She's trying to tough it out without narcs but it's clear her mobility is becoming more and more painful. Dont toke anymore either.......I suffered burnout syndrome so badly that chainsmoking Hydrowouldn't buzz me That reminds me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zx8DGD-Kn0
heymisterk
It's much easier to say what I DON'T drink; I drink just about everything except gin and scotch. I'm a big red wine guy, and am fairly knowledgeable about them, especially Cali Zinfandels and Aussie Shiraz. I also enjoy a NZ Sauvignion Blanc. But I'm no snob: I rarely buy a bottle that costs more than $10. I also love a glass of single-barrel Jack Daniels, good beer (love Fat Tire, but you can't buy it here), and even a good, strong margarita with salt. RichCI
Depends on my mood but... I typically have a sambuca or two after dinner. I like most beers except Coors. Jack on the rocks is always good (and sitting in front of me as I type this). Scotch is good too; I prefer Glenlivet. Bushmills Irish whiskey is reeeal niiiice. A Kettle One martini is the **** when made right. Patron Silver is a great tequila straight up for sipping. Frankly, with the exception of gin, I haven't met many things I won't drink. KSG_Standard
I don't drink much in the way of alcohol since 2001...My poison is Dr. Pepper. Every now and again, I'll have a chimay or a couple of Fat Tires or a couple of Guinness'...You guys that drink Irish Whiskey, have you ever tried Tullamore Dew? Good stuff...
