What's your Poison?

I’ve really come to enjoy my Jack n’ Coke after closing out the week.

Drinking isn’t for everyone... but for me as long as it’s in moderation

All is good. I’m a week-end warrior.

I especially enjoy knocking down a couple of drinks and letting the

Music flow.

Back in the day I usually downed a few shots before hitting the stage to loosen up.

What is your favorite Drink? And if your guitar(s) are around do you

wind up playing them under the influence? I know I do.

I’m a Jack n’ Coke guy.

How about you? What is your favorite drink?

If you don’t drink that’s more than cool.

My get-a-way... My little home studio...

Your studio looks like a happy place.

I kinda like my Patron or Chevas straight. But not too much because at my age, a little goes a long way. Plus if I have too much, I risk dropping something.

Tight quarters there, but nice gear. My "happy place" is 15x15, but "just as cluttered" ..

I'm with Grampa, I can drop stuff.....

I'm a beer guy. I've been drug free for over 10 years.

Best to ya.

Murph.

Jack is very rock n' roll but man it gets me there too quick...

Still, Jack Daniels and George Dickel are high on my "hard stuff" list.

When in Tennessee the distillery tours are a must...they are not far apart either.

I can smell that from here, brother!

I like Gin, Whiskey/whisky of any sort, and beer - MGD, Miller High Life, Budweiser, or Pabst.

Im with Cruznolfart on the green train to happiness.

I only drink once or twice a month but its usually a beer called Blue Moon or my high school sweetheart Colt 45.

You might enjoy the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky as well. I forget what the other distilleries are, but I know Maker's is on the tour.

And my poison of choice is arsenic. ;)

But I'm also fond of whiskey, whiskey sours, and margaritas of all kinds.

One of the Islay malts. Laphroaig is tops although my wife sez it tastes like licking the ashes of burned wood.

Jack's good too. So's brandy. After dinner a cup of coffee, a snifter of brandy and a glass of ice water is nice. But if you bend my arm I'd take a B&B or Drambuie. Even Chartreuse - either the more mellow yellow or the higher proof green would be fine although I prefer the yellow.

There's an old saying where I live that whiskey's for drinking and water's for fighting. If you knew the difficulty of getting water rights for your livestock and even for your town's water supply on occasions, you'd understand.

So forget the ice and water in my liquor, thanks. OTOH, I have been known to begin a rare dinner out with a Gibson (very dry martini where you can forget the vermouth and use onions 'stedda olives so it's sweet but spicy kinda like a certain brand of guitar) or a Rob Roy (Scotch and sweet vermouth with a maraschino cherry or two or three.)

But... On the other hand, nobody's going to make much money from my liquor purchases.

When I'm playing for money, even in a saloon, I stick to orange juice plain, or coffee. Usually coffee to start out, then OJ. When it's over and the gear packed away in its transport, perhaps a spot of something or another. <grin>

I bet you have great hang-overs - I "hear" 7-up & Jack gives less hang-over.

I'm just saying.

My poison is life.

oooo, i used to love b-52s! can't do them any more. too toxic. just got home from work. did a wailers (see b.marley) show tonight. got a tall vodka/cran in hand and a nice "tip" from a friend at the show. those reggae folks always seem to know where to find the fun stuff. i'll pretend to watch the NBC news, give up, engage itunes and get a guitar. life is good.

At practice it's usually just Heineiken. The few times I've brought in my messed up drink for everyone; a glass that's two shots Jager and the rest Root Beer..I got everyone too trashed, and than I feel bad. Never drink at all day of show. After playing is a different story ;)

Usually I drink cold water, iced tea when I'm in the mood, Coca Cola when I'm working night shift.

Every now and then I gotta have a Budweiser in a bottle - iced down.

Always have some in the second fridge.

If company shows up, it goes in a chest with ice out in the garage/Neo Cave.
