FirstMeasure
It's changed a lot in 20 years, that's for sure. You won't find the same Clubs on the Sunset Strip and Venice Beach is full of Fuddy Duddies. The Three Blocks of Sunset Guitar Stores is down to about Three Store Fronts and The Sunset Grill is a resaurant you have to walk into and get a seat, no more "Roller fron" hamburger stand. The only thing that hasn't changed is the Lack of PArking. Anyway, Axe, if you feel like taking in some nice trees and fresh air, Check Out Big Bear. Mention me at All Seasons Resort Rentals and we'll give you a deal on a nice Vacation Rental House.
Bluemoon
I had a prostitute in LA toss a trash can through my car windshield. Who knew you had to tip them!
surfpup
It's different than I remembered. They still have girls, right? You're set. (In fact, they could probably use a nice genetic infusion from the east. See what you can do).

Chrisdude
Dude if you go near LA or the strip, hit the Rainbow Rooms. Lemmey always hangs out there. Miserable git but he likes his beer ;-) And the burgers are EXCELLANT.
Californiaman
Here ya' go. Plenty to see and do in HB tonight. I've been to Fitzgeralds. Zoobies Dry Dock is a great place to start. Bars Dining Entertainment Just up the road from HB is Fountain Valley. Silky Sulivan's has the best prime rib dinner in that part of town. I like the fact that they serve large pitchers of Guiness draft too. To Arthur! Cheers
Mr. Robot
I went to California once a few years ago. Didnt like LA so much, but loved Santa Monica. I am told Laguna Beach is the place to go?????
NeoConMan
Water's on the wrong side of the sand, eh Axe? Bet that's REALLY confusing at sunset.... :-) Born there, in San Pedro, on the way to Okinawa. Military brat. Never went back until just 7 years ago. LA is a just a big dirty city. Drove all up the Hollywood hills and into the valley. Brentwood/Bel Air. Malibu so I could see the haze and pollution. Got a room in Hollywood. Went out to Catalina, that was pretty cool. Just ain't my bag, Paradise Valley and Scottsdale in the Phoenix area are nicer in my opinion. Add to all that the fact that the two guns I had with me are legal in 49 other states..... Agreed dude, when we played the Knitting Factory on Sunset we stayed 100 yards from the Chinese Theatre. I could not beleive what a shithole it was!! Boobie bars, liquor stores and closed down buildings, then the Theatre!!
